Thanks for pointing that out. I forgot about that statement, that really got under my skin too. I think he said that Love would be an average rotational big in international play. When Love was in he grabbed 12 boards and 10 pts! he played 12 mins lol. even though the game was out of reach at that point.

I saw the enitre game and they didnt give up just because they widened there rotation towards the end that doesnt mean they gave up, the u.s already had a big lead even with greeces better players in the game

whoah! mr.knick 32 its time to put you on blast and also school you a bit on some basketball knowledge. First of all its ridiculous to say its not a real game its just an exhibition, I dont care what you say both teams came out to win today anytime a basketball game like this between two countries are played they both come out to win because they are playing and representing there countries. Also when you said they gave up in the 3rd thats a total bs excuse, if thats the case we can say that about any team that gets blown out. And lastly your right I dont expect the same result next time they play, but you cant say they didn’t have there bigs when we beat them by 30 with only one true center imagine if the u.s. had there top big man playing. If the U.S. gets beat one day Mr.Knick32 I will say to you oh they gave up they just decided they want to fight another day that my friend sounds completely stupid

I agree to a point. Greece did sub in some other players in and they gave up a huge chunk in the 3rd. When you sub in players and play them for a good chunk of PT, you either gave up or decided it’s not worth it to play your starters. You tell me. They decided to fight another day and not allow teams to gameplan on them.

Is anyone else sick of hear Fran announce these games? When USA does well he talks about how the other team isnt playing all their best players (guess what fran, the USA team isn’t eithier). When the US play a close game like against Spain all he talks about is how easily this US team could lose. When US gets a fastbreak all he talks about is how they won’t get easy buckets in “real” games. When the US get bad calls against them all he talks about is how the US team need to “adjust to the officiating” instead of admitting that european refs are human and make mistakes just like the rest of us.

are trying to say is that if a player has already gone public saying that he will play in the olympics then what reason is there to doubt him? It seems that American players are taking these international tournaments more serious then in previous years. I don’t think most of the top players have the “get my gold then back out forever” attitude anymore. Also, none of the top players from the previous olympic team will be free agents in 2012, so what I am asking is why do you not think these top players will come back for it?
