rileymcshea3ParticipantFor 76ers and T-Wolves fans-Do you believe in Wesley Johnson or Evan Turner ? Most people are all ready labeling these two as bust but i think its crazy to do that its only been one year even though i dont know anything about how good these two played i still think its stupid to think that. But back to my question do you believe Evan or Wesley could be your future starting Sg or Sf ? Do you even beleive he will be with the team in a couple of years? Would you like him and to stay and how good do you think he will be once he is in his prime?

omphalosParticipantI think Turner showed potential when he had an aggressive mindset, especially in the playoffs, but he came into a situation where a lot of veteran players were ahead of him depth wise, and it prevented him assuming the role of ball-dominance where he is most effective. I like Turner as a starter still, but it depends on what happens with Andre.
As far as Johnson, he was given the starting nod, and quite frankly was underwhelming as the number 4. I think he’s already peaked but will be a serviceable starter at worst, which could work out best for Minny, who are already choc-full of talent.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantWes Johnson is being played out of position (SG). It’s too early to make the call on him as an SG. He has the tools to be decent, but look for him to be pushed out of the starting lineup at SG if they find a better option.

Dr.RedParticipantTurner has a ton of potential still, IMO. He reminds me of Scottie Pippen in his early days. He needs to find some sort of consistency on his jumper, but has shown flashes in limited minutes. I think he will be a solid to very good starter one day. I think he is more of a point forward than anything else.
Johnson is not a SG. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Can he play the 2? Sure. Is he good at it? Not in my opinion. When he played the 3, he was much more effective. The Wolves biggest problems is trying to play guys out of their natural positions or roles. He needs to work on his ball handling and passing, and needs to be more aggresive on both ends, but he has the tools to be a damn good SF one day.
Both should be good starters in the future. They just need to be in the right situation.

HobbyOGParticipantI think Turner will step up once they trade Iggy..And I agree with Dr Red, Johnson is a stretch at the 2G..he should be a 3.

PulseGlazerParticipantI like Wes, but he really needs to focus on D. With his tools, that can really be his calling card and he can lockdown 2s or 3s.
