Phoenix traded Jared Dudley and a 2021 2nd round pick to Brooklyn for Darrell Arthur (buyout coming)

Philly traded Richaun Holmes to Phoenix for cash.

Yogi Ferrell backed out of his deal with Dallas.

Philly agreed to a 4yr/$7mil rookie deal with Euro stash Jonah Bolden.

Shelvin Mack agreeing to a 1yr minumum deal with Memphis

Yogi situation sounds interesting. What other teams could he fit on? Suns need a PG but just picked up Shaq Harrison deal.

Holmes was apparently moved to free up spot for Jonah Bolden at Philly. Bolden could be an interested prospect to watch as he would likely have been well in the first round last year if he’d been likely to come over. He has a low level salary so could be a bargain for Philly.

Phoenix free up playing time for their younger guys by trading Daudley, Brooklyn get a solid veteran and as they are in rebuild the future 2nd rounder is just another accumulated asset.

Could Yogi Ferrell have had interest from the Magic I wonder?

Well the two year 5.3 million deal was a pretty good bargain for the Mavs after Yogi had a fine season for the Mavs and even scored in double figures. After drafting Brunson and Luca, there might be problems for him getting minutes but if I‘m not mistaken Seth Curry also moves on and he would have still been the 1st or 2nd guard from the bench.

Not so surprised to read that the mighty Kings might be willing to throw more money at him. They missed out on basically all their targets and are the only team left with significant cap space.

Bad for Dallas that they rescinded the QO to Yogi since they felt he was going to stay and now can’t match anything and they will lose him and can’t do nothing. I‘m also pretty sure Dirks contract and the rescinded QO were all made in a particular order that the Mavs can maximize their flexibility to resign Yogi.

To me a quality backup combo guard who can give you instant scoring but not a great defender. Will hurt the aka s to lose him and I want to see how badly the Kings throw money at him now.

The 76ers 4 year deal for Bolden is an absolute steal for them if he is any good at all. Not really the veteran presence they wanted in Bielica but also one more interesting young player for them.

To be fair Yogi Ferrell proved he could be a decent backup but they rode him last year in an attempt to keep Barea on the bench so they could lose more games. JJ thoroughly outperformed Yogi.

With the Mavs trying to win this year JJ should get more minutes and after drafting Jalen Brunson losing Ferrell isnt going to be a big issue, however getting a qaulity backup PG that is content with his role at such a cheap price is always good.

Can’t remember where I saw it, but I read that New Orleans is among the teams that has interest in Yogi. He’d make sense as the backup PG there.

Yep also read that. Seems like a cost cutting move by the Thunder as both players contracts have identical value but only Purvis is guaranteed.

Also read that a replacement could/would be one of the Thunders 2nd around picks of Diallo, Hervey and Hall and realized none of them is signed right now. I believe Diallo and also Hervey both will make the roster. Maybe Hall on a two way contract but we‘ll see.

Also Michael Beasley to the Lakers on a one year, 3.5 mio contract. To be honest I think Beasley is a very underrated player at this stage of his career for this kind of money. Would also surprise menif it is fully guaranteed. I‘m actually surprised it took so long for him to find a team. On a sidenote the Lakers roster is looking more and more awkward. Rondo, Lance, Beasley, Lavar… I know Magic said he wanted to build a team differently from what other LeBron teams have looked like but this could  of only fail, it could blow up big time.

sorry mean to type Johnson’s contract is guaranteed. Purvis will be waived and will be interesting to see if the Thunder leave the 15th roster spot open for possible buyout candidates.

I don’t get the Yogi Ferrell to Sacto move. They have Fox and Mason so I suppose it’s as the third PG but they have so many transient type players. I don’t know if he’s someone you’d target out of everyone out there. You expect a team to have a few journeymen, but this squad is loaded with them. Long forgotten are the days of Peja and C-Webb.

Which is why I’m wondering why they signed him.. the only roster spot I see is the third PG behind Fox and Mason cos the 2G spot is even busier – Hield, Bogdanovic, McLemore, V.Carter, J.Jackson, Shumpert, Sampson all could potentially have minutes on the wing. The roster is dogs balls.

Also whats with Bjelica?! What kind of jerk agrees to a deal then signs elsewhere.. and the Kings no less! They already have Randolph, Giles, Labissiere and Bagley playing the 4, WCS and Koufos at the 5. Bjelica can play but that’s a terrible acquisition considering the balance of the roster. I’ve named 16 players already on this thread. They really need to trade a few young guys in a package for an established player.

That Lakers locker room will certainly be interesting. I wonder if Big Baller might look to sign up Beasley.

Fair play to Beasley for getting another team and staying in the league, pity his early years were plagued by his recreational drugs habit.

I always wondered if Beasley had become a legit star would he have been virtually unselectable for Team USA if they knew he used weed on occasion. Would they have risked him failing a drugs test and the team possibly being disqualified or certainly brought into disripute. Could you imagine Mike K, Popps, Kobe and co if the team were shown up or possible thrown out!
