I know this is kind of random but were all kind of bored after the draft in the offseason. Anyways i work at a camp and I realized that kids dont play with sports cards anymore. its all yugioh and crazy japaneese stuff.
Does anybody remember thier firsit basketball card that made them feel like the man?
I had a hollographic tops Iverson Rookie card, and the shoes, in first grade and I think I showed it to everybody I met for about 6 months.

I can’t really remember my first card, but I started collecting around 2004…at the time, I didn’t know it, but Dwight Howard Rookie Card. 🙂 That was the best card I owned, at this moment I have Roy, Aldridge, Howard, Bosh, Iverson, Morrison, Carter, Rondo, Bargnani, and plenty of others rookie cards.

My First NBA Card ever was not from any major superstars but from a very good PG back in the 90’s… A friend of mine gave me a Topps Card of Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf when he was with the Sacramento Kings… I treasured it from here on out… I started collecting cards but most, I gave them away to some friends, some were Glen Rice’s and Kerry Kittles’… I had a Michael Jordan fleer card, I stored it somewhere to avoid getting stolen…^^

My 1st card: I got a Chris Whitney card from my dad. My dad used to be good friends with him in HS.

My Most Valued Card: Of course, my Andre Iguodala card. Bought it in Wal-Mart a while back lol.

man, I used to colect cards way back in the mid 90’s. I mostly thrashed them though and didn’t take care of them. But I always kept my Shaq and a Penny rookie cards in a case with my Nick Van Exel autographed picture. Those are my only collectibles.

has ruined the trading card thing. My first time i purchased a pack of cards was in the early 80’s, in that pack i got a card of adrian dantley, who at that time was my favorite player in the nba. I can remmeber running around my house yelling and screaming in excitment. Sadly that card got thrashed because i looked at it every day.
