LOOL, I love what you said about Detroit with their first round pick with Brandon Knight. If I was running that team, I’d do the exact same thing. Put on my used caresaleman hat and trade everyone on that roster besides the guys you mentioned for picks, future picks or prospects. Pretty solid mock. Bold move by you saying that Markieff will go ahead of Marcus Morris. I think after the NBA draft combine and draft workouts, I think that’ll come to fruition.

Overall- well done.  The only point I would make is that you ask why Bogut is not on a contender and than you have the Bucks trading him to………Minnesota.  As a Bucks fan I beg Milwaukee not to part with Bogut unless they get an overwhelmingly good deal.  Also, Bogut is a huge presence in the Milwaukee community and a fan favorite there, so unless the Brew Town gets something big in return, it will not go over well with the fan base.

Solid Mock so far, I could see things falling like that.

Plus, pretty jealous you got to see the Raps live in London, that place looked crazy!!

Bucks aren’t going to trade Bogut bro. Also, I don’t know about Derrick Williams shortcomings defensively. Though he may be undersized, he’s a big bodied dude and he has clutch defensive plays to win games. Not many players in this draft can say that. And with the Burks pick, your comments are no good. You take a player #6 overall for scoring off the bench? Don’t you already have CJ Miles for that, and yes I know he’s been starting but I still don’t think he’s the answer. How is Jonas a reach at 7 if you have him drafted at 10? Brandon Knight is great, but I don’t see him and Stuckey playing off each other well. The Knicks have to go for a big in this draft, and that is a reach for Buford.

Bayless was playing solid D on Deron Williams when they were in London! Bayless just needs consistent playing time. Am I the only one who thinks Bayless is a good player?

Pretty solid mock, However, I think Houston is loaded at the PF position, they drafted Patrick Patterson last year and acquired Jordan Hill last year.  I don’t really see where Markeiff Morris fits in with that team.

     @torontoraptors10

I love his game too, he’s aggressive on D which is a nice change over Caldy.

He settles for jumpers too much which is why he isn’t as effective as he should be when he gets lots of minutes. He’s so deadly when he mixes it up, cause he can actually get to the rim pretty effectively.

good mock but there are things I don’t like

for example I think you are underrating Vesley,he is amazing athlete, and very good defender

I would prefer Vesley for GSW & Kawhi for the Suns

also I think Terrence Jones wont go past the Rockets

8 great comments, so thought I’d take the time to answer all 8…just cause i’m nice like that… :p

blackflash: he’s just more NBA suited. it won’t necassarily happen, but I think the team that get’s this the wrong way round will regret it.

cuseguy: you’re right- they were kinda meant to be three seperate comments but I see why that wouldn’t make sense. In my eyes, as I said, Milwaukee need to build round him and fast, because Bogut, imho, is one of the best 2 way centres in the league. If I’m Andrew Bogut, as in love with Milwaukee as he seems, I’m looking around in 2-3 years if he isn’t already. If I’m Minnesota (totally seperate point of view) I believe that Milwaukee may be looking for a shake up, and Bogut is a player that I’d covet alongside Love and Beasley. However, other teams that could really use him, just to name a few, include Atlanta (pushing Horford to the 4), Toronto (pushing Bargnani to the 4), as well as the obvious contenders in need of a centre such as Boston, San An etc.

tha_prince: it was awesome! the crowd started off quite quiet- not because (as all the american commentators decided) we didn’t know what was going on, but because there was no designated home team to cheer for, and how many people in the UK are naturally Raptors/Nets fans? By the last 2 minutes of the 4th, it was crazy though! awesome game!

nappy_headed_whitey: they shouldn’t, but they’re going to have to make moves, or they’re going have to rebuild. it’s up to them. no one likes being mediocre. derrick williams- i think you’re right- but i also think that washington need some real toughness inside. having said that, i was also counting on sullinger’s value to rise thanks to a final four run…that might need a change! burks: again, you’re absolutely right- i did that pick fairly quickly, because i just think it should be traded- and besides…when the hell did the jazz ever draft well in the first round?!? however, the jazz do need depth, and fast. jonas is still a reach at 10- he’s just too much of a reach at 7, with the players that are available. the detroit comment: i think they need to trade stuckey, quite simply. he’s not a point guard that will win them games. and the knicks need a hell of a lot because they’re bench is so light right now- i think bigs will fall to the second round, whereas buford is a bit of a rarity in this draft. but again, that was counting on a good final 4s run…

torontoraptors and tha_prince regarding bayless: his defense was good (compared to calderons) but offensively, he just had no clue. his decision making and shot selection were awful, he had no control of the team or the tempo. he doesn’t analyse the floor and take what the D gives him- he’s just ‘i’m going to score this possession’ or ‘i’m going to pass’. he was OK whilst at the 2, and i think toronto would get more success playing him there.

joewolf: very good point, and i will probably change that. tbh, i don’t think hill will succeed, but you’re right in that it’s too early to give up on him!

khaled: i am absolutely, most definately, underrating vesely, because i just don’t rate him. i can’t see this whole ‘european blake griffin’ thing. however, i think you’re absolutely right about terrence jones, and that’s probably a change i will make next time- thanks khaled and joewolf!

thanks for all your comments guys!

    Good mock draft!

It probably won’t fall like this because the draft is unperdictable, but your mock draft fills needs for most of the teams and thats how the draft should be.

    My three favorite picks:

Kanter to Toronto: Toronto needs a big body down low, and someone that can attempt to rebound since Bargs doesn’t like to. Kanter is a big body and can rebound.

Knight to Detroit: Your description says it all

Montiejunas to the Bucks: I think this is a wonderful fit. Montiejunas is a scorer and the Bucks really cannot score, unless its against the Knicks!
