Who are your favorite players to have ever played in the NBA. I’m not going to debate how good these players were but who your personal fave players were and why.

    My favorite players are:
    Steve Nash
    Carmelo Anthony
    Tracy McGrady
    Penny Hardaway
    Kyrie Irving
    Larry Johnson
    Allen Iverson

Dennis Rodman, just because he is so unselfish and he did all the work that others didnt want to do. Did not care about touches or points, he created his own from offensive rebounds. IMO best rebounder ever, especially when u take into consideration his size, as well as unbelivable defender.

Even though he is recognized as a HOF, his offcourt flamboyant personality sometimes overshadows his greatness, especially for those that are not that familiar with NBA.

Kevin Garnett… I’m from Minnesota and I just liked everything about him. He was a two way player, athletic, had personality, had a high motor and his game was extremely unique. You knew with a player like him, he was a type that could be the best player on a championship team. Sadly, that didn’t happen in Minnesota.

Magic for his all-around game, unparalleled court vision, joy for the game, winner in every way

Bird for his basketball IQ, playmaking, crazy shooting, for reviving the NBA with Magic

West for being the logo, Mr Clutch, the best exec ever

Goodrich because he was my idol growing up – a short, white skinny guy who could shoot lights out, best scoring little guy ever until Iverson came along

Olajuwon for his footwork, for his dominance in an era of great big men, for the dream shake, best all-around big ever

Walton, an mvp but really could’ve been so much more, dominated the game when healthy, his motor was so high, he was anti-establishment and so fun to watch

Rodman for being the kookiest, kraziest, rebounding demon, lock-down defender, totally annoying show the NBA has ever seen.

Curry, best. shooter. ever.  a baby-faced assassin

Bernard King, dude could score, watching him reminded me of the NBA’s version of Bo Jackson – a talent that at any minute could just explode and not be stopped

Michael Cooper, about 175 pounds dripping wet of in-your-face defense at multiple positions, loved the Coop-a-Loop, and for picking a fight with Bob Lanier who outweighed him by about 100 pounds

Reggie Miller – Best trash talkers and a decent shooter lol

Stephen Jackson – Defintion of "Do You"

    Lebron James.

Hakeem The Dream – I think he isn’t given his proper dues when talking about the best ever.

Pistol Pete – just based on his story alone

Brandon Roy, Chris Webber, Stephen Curry, Vince Carter and Indiana Lance Stephenson

Reggie Miller – Grew up watching him, love his attitude and aggression on the court.
Paul George – Hope he comes back really strong.
Dirk Nowitzki – All through high school, whilst Indiana struggled I fell in love with Dirk and his play.
Vince Carter – Dunking machine, but still a hell of a player.
Scottie Pippen – Love the versatility he had.
    Larry Bird – Boss.

Kobe Bryant and nick van exel are my two favorites.

Excluding laker/ucla players, some of my faves were Payton, penny, Kidd,Barkley, grant hill from the 90’s when I was younger.

From more recent I really like kawhi Leonard and Blake griffin

Now for some of my least favorite, Jordan, Lebron, Ray Allen, webber, Garnett, Howard

Chris Mullin:  for me, funnest player to watch ever.  Never seen such a great shooter get so many wide open looks.  That’s how sneaky good he was without the ball.

Tim Hardaway:  if you never saw him in his prime for the GSW, you missed something truly special.  Absolutely fearless, only player that I know that actually WILLED his shots in.  Killer crossover was unstoppable even though you knew it was coming.

I’m being a homer here but those are the guys I grew up watching

I’m a Lakers fan so I’m not gonna state the obvious names like magic, Kobe, etc. I’ll list some guys who’s games I always had an appreciation for that other people didn’t always seem to.

Nick van exel- I always loved the smoothness in his game and his ability to manufacture shots in traffic. The way he would freeze the defender with hesitation dribbles and his pull up jumper were always beautiful to watch to me.

Antoine Walker- he wasn’t the most efficient shooter and probably took a few too many 3s but I always loved the versatility and uniqueness to his game. He could literally play anywhere on the floor and really redefined the pf position. Despite not having great athleticism, he was an incredibly crafty player who found ways to create shots for both himself and teammates. Just an extremely skilled player who I thought never got enough credit.

Steve nash- really brought fundamentals back into the game at a time when they were sorely lacking. Just an incredible bball iq and skill level and really made the game fun to watch. As a true bball fan, there’s no way he couldn’t be on this list.

Reggie Miller- I don’t think there was ever a player in the history of the game that was more annoying to guard. I loved the way he got under player’s skin and made moving without the ball an art form. Always seemed to play his best in the biggest games. As a kid growing up, he was never really my favorite player, but he probably influenced the way I played more than anyone.

Forgot to add Jason Williams. You can say what you want about him, and he was basically an average pg for most of his career. However, you can’t deny that he brought an excitement to the game that was lacking at the time, especially in his Sacramento days. For a guy that never really came close to making an all-star game, he is probably one of the most influential players of his generation.

john wall – like the way he plays, like this style and I will never forget the game he played Miyah, the little girl who died from cancer. He posted 26 points 17 assists in a double overtime win.

brandon roy – polished team player, all-around game, was becoming one of the leagues best shooting guards until he got hurt.

Lebron james –  i started playing basketball after watching him play.

Kevin Garnett – Amazing locker room leader and anything is possible!

Oden – I watched him at ohio state and i was really hoping that he would become the next dominating center.

    Honor mentions

T-mac – this guy was just unreal.

Oscar robertson – triple-double average, in  one season.

gilbert arenas – on his prime he was one of the funniest to watch, really clutch player.

steve nash – amazing passing ability, amazing shooter, amazing creativity.

Something about guards I can just relate to. All of them are/were great team players with explosive abilities. Dwyane Wade is definitely my favorite as I know the area of Chicago he had come from and now living in south Florida I always see how he helps the community in some way or another. All around a great role model. I’d love to see LaVine become an even more athletic Wade.

    Barkley

    Penny Hardaway

    Reggie Miller

Actually I totally forgot one of my favourite players who passed away just this year. Anthony Mason, good all around player for many years and a fantastic human being as well. RIP

Actually, I’d probably remove TJ Warren and add:

      12. Kevin Johnson
      13. Bobby Phills
      14. Terrell Brandon

Not a lot of love for the GOAT.

I am really partial to UNC guys.

    1.  Michael Jordan
    2.  Ty Lawson (I am forever indebted to him for his incredible 2009 season at UNC)
    3.  Vince Carter
    4.  Grant Hill (hard not to like him as a player)
    5.  Draymond Green
    6.  Steph Curry
    7.  Tim Duncan
    8.  Derrick Rose
    9.  KD
    10.  Dirk

     1) Adam Silver

    2, 3 tie) David Stern/Donald Sterling

Stern and Sterling forged a strong friendship over 30 years, and Stern’s No-Look generalship made Sterling a billionaire level playa.

Silver is great, he cleans up like Dennis Rodman.

They don’t call Silver "The Worm" for nothing.
