My favorite memories are “NBA on NBC” and, of course, MJ and the Bulls. What are some of your favorite memories?

    Man, too many to recount.

Nick Van Exel crossing dudes over.

Sunday games on NBC really felt like an event. Shaq vs Barkley or Jordan vs Ewing. There was no league pass, so seeing the stars on Sunday felt more special.

I used to go to Yosimete national park with my family every summer and I would watch the confrence finals on this big screen at a bar with all these other people, it was fun.

Reggie Miller in the playoffs. I was never a Pacer fan, but watching Reggie in the playoffs, you just always felt like he was gonna do something special.

Some of the great players of the ’90s that I don’t think newer fans really appreciate enough. I mean everybody respects Jordan, but Malone, Barkley, Olajuwon, Hill, all those guys were truly special.

    Chick Hearn, R.I.P. my man

the kicks, they used to be crazy. You had the pumps, the reeboks with the flashing lights, the converse react juices worn by Larry Johnson, the foamposites that Penny and Duncan first started wearing, and some sweet CB4’s that Nike made for Barkley that everyone had to have. Oh yeah, and the original Iverson low tops by reebok.

College players that played 3-4 years of college and were already nba ready and house hold names right off the bat as rookies.

Reggie Miller; 8 points in 9 seconds vs the knicks.

Heated rivalries esp between Knicks-Pacers and Knicks-Heat.

Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp flying high.

Penny Hardaway and Shaquille O’Neal convincing Magic fans we would eventually have a dynasty.

David Robinson winning the 1994 scoring championship by scoring 71 points against the Clips.

The greatest group of centers to play in one era together and the battles they had; O’Neal, Olajuwan, Robinson, Ewing and Mourning.

Stockton and Malone running the pick and roll to perfection.

And above all else; the incomparable gamesmanship of Michael Jordan.

That video clip is amazing, I knew John Tesh wrote it, but to see it in concert is great. I liked it when Nelly sampled it a few years ago too..great theme haha

My favorite moment from the 90’s would have to be watching the 95-96 Chicago Bulls, I probably watched about 70 of their games that year and it was truly amazing to see a team like that just dominate their opponents, Michael Jordan dropped 50 a couple times, one I remember vs. Miami when Sasha Danilovic was guarding him and I told my friend, Jordan was going for 50 with no defense Danilovic on him. Rodman was at his finest, but he manage to head butt the ref vs. New Jersey that year, and Sunday afternoon basketball on NBC was a must see every week. Maybe i’m just being nostalgic, but the 90’s were truly a great decade for the NBA.

I’m glad some people mentioned the Pacer’s – Knick’s rivalry of the 90’s that was a great rivalry that seems to get overlooked by everyone now days just because neither team one a Championship in the 90’s but Reggie in the Garden was something exciting to watch.
