jhbm24Participanti am a warriors fan and love to think about the crazy things that we could do (but won’t or can’t) and this idea i had involves more than one trade so bare with me on this crazy idea, and i didnt look into the money or anything so please don’t go all "those salaries will never work" cuz im not sure if they will.
first, was a rumor that ive heard the warriors turned down, and thats is
-Rondo for Curry
the next trade is one that im sure one of the teams wouldn’t do
-Monte Ellis for Rudy Gay
and the last one isnt really a trade rather than a fantasy singing in the offseason of
-Dwight Howard
and for the Griz i was thinking trade
Monte for Iggy
now i belive a team of
Rondo
??SG
Gay
David Lee
and Dwight
would be a contender.
and iggy gives the griz another great defender and facillitator with around 15 points per game still. i think he would make the team focus on the bigs more.
and monte gives the sixers the scorer they’ve wanted for so long and lets turner run the three. (i know someones gna complain about monte taking away his growth) but of course is gna hurt their D cuz turner and Ellis arent the best defenders.
so tell me what you think about this fantasy trade i have, of course will never happend, but is that not a good warriors teams or what? sorry for the length.

PulseGlazerParticipantBecause none of that is remotely feasible.

bobo33-15Participant^^What PulseGlazer said. I didn’t explain because the absurdity of the trade ideas leave one speechless

jhbm24ParticipantOkay first of all If you read the title it says “fantasy”, and second none of the trades are actually immpossible. And why wouldn’t dwight wanna go to that team? Really just explain to me what you belive is so bad.

Bossy13ParticipantI can’t see the Celtics making that deal anymore, even if they offered it at some point. Curry’s missed another handful of games this year so I’d think his injury concerns would scare off the Celtics at this point.
The Grizzlies are playing without their starting PF this season. It would be a bad idea for them to make a big trade when they don’t have their full roster playing. If they do make a deal, I’d think it wouldnt happen until maybe mid way through next season, when they can see how the team has played with a full roster for a while. They had a heck of a nice run in the playoffs last year with their full squad so it just wouldnt make sense to break things up at this point.
Would Howard want to play in GS? Probably not. I see your point, if the warriors added Rondo and Gay, it might become a more desirable team for him to join, but I doubt they can make those moves so I don’t see why Howard would change his mind and agree to signing with GS.
Monta for Iggy is a possibility if the Sixers decide they need more offense, and can sacrifice Iggy’s D. I wouldn’t do it but unfortunately I don’t run an nba team.

jhbm24Participantim believe the celtics would do it, they are shopping him like crazy right now. so idk understand why everyone doesnt seem like this is reasonable
and the griz trade is the more unlikly trade, i know its highly unliky and not much of a possibility, i was just thinkin of the top SF in the league is is actually tradeable.
and the Ws are a big market team and is close to LA. so if they had a championship contending team with him im sue he wouldnt mind signing there. he wants to play with an elite PG and Rondo is definatly elite, and i feel david lee would be a nice fit next to howard, and gay is just a longshot.
@Bossy…those are the reasons why this crazy idea of mine will never happen, and thank you for actually putting in some input.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantOne of the many problems with your scenario: How would you sign Dwight in the off season when with your fantasy roster you would have Rondo (11 mill), Gay (16.5), David Lee (12.75), Andris Biedrins (9), Dorell Wright (4.1) and Ekpe Udoh (3.5), Klay Thompson (2.3) combining for 58.8 million with six roster spots left open?
On a sidenote I heard that rumor about the Warriors rejecting a Rondo for Curry trade and I personally don’t agree with it. Rondo would have been a much better faciliator for the GS offense and is a much better defender that would have enabled them to better embrace Mark Jackson’s new defensive philosophy…he also doesn’t have a glass ankle.
Not quite as foolish as the Warriors using their amnesty on Charlie Bell however…

jhbm24Participantdo they get an amnesty each year for the first two years?? just curious
and i didnt look into the money so youre right, but for the rondo trade theyd have to give up more anyways cuz the salaries wouldnt match, so dorrel might be gone, though theyd still have brandon rush, and jeremy tyler, charles jenkins under 2nd round rookie contracts (not brandon rush of course) so i actually do think they could come up with some money, though andris beidrens was the unmistakebly the person they needed to amnesty. B-Diddy made that guy a lot of money.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipant^
Nope, each team is only allowed to use the amnesty clause on 1 contract, although if a team didn’t use it last off season they can use it in the upcoming one.
Ya, the Warriors should have really used it on Biedrins when they had the chance. I was borderline shocked when they used it on Bell who wasn’t really making that much money and was whose contract was expiring at the end of the year anyway.

F_DA_POParticipantYou could’ve saved yourself a lot of typing by just turning on NBA 2k12 and turning off fair trades.

river09ParticipantCut him some slack guys. It’s his first post. Don’t just go negging and ignoring what he’s saying just because he’s not indianabasketball. I’m not saying what he’s said makes sense. But it does say in the title that it is a fantasy cloud that he’s riding on…
