JMIKE is a Grizz fanParticipantWho would you rather take on better value Turner who can play pg sg and sf and become a Brandon Roy or Wall who could be A Derrick Rose

IndianaBasketballParticipantTurner was the best player in college basketball and has all of the tools to be just as successful in the NBA… I don’t know how you can say Wall easily Mikenike.
I’d rather have Turner, but Wall has more upside as to what he “could” become.

BiggysmallsParticipantDepends what you need…to Start a team, right now I’d take Turner I think
He is more NBA ready in my opinion, bigger body, more versatile. Wall may be more explosive and exciting, but I think Turner will be a heck of a player in the NBA. I think he can be a Brandon Roy/ Paul Pierce type

IndianaBasketballParticipantAnd when do you want that rematch in 2K10 Mikenike lol? This time I’ll play with Cleveland and show you the real way to do it with LBJ

M-DYMESParticipantI am also on the Turner burner. The leadership he showed this year and the ability to improve his game (which he clearly showed in college) proves to me that he is worthy of the #1 overall pick. He’s bigger than Wall, can play multiple positions and produced the best numbers in college this year. With Wall, your buying a very good college player, but he is also getting hyped due to his HS play. Turner’s stock is all based upon what he did against better competition (college) over multiple years. His work ethic is proven and he is ready to make the transition. But, both will be very good players IMO.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantTurner will make a team better than Wall. If your just trying to have a flashy point guard that leads the league in T.O’s then Wall is your man. How many teams win with Flashy point guards running the offense. If I was to pay to watch one of them play it’d be Wall. But Turner does it all and will be better day 1 to 100.
I see the love affair with Wall. But most teams would be better off using him as bait to the stalker out the bunch. I said it here first Wall will not be R.O.Y …. I can see him become D. Rose and I can also see him pull a Dajuan Wagner or someone like that. Aren’t all athletic guards one injury away from obscurity.0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/17/2010 - 2:50pm #285376

IndianaBasketballParticipantBe careful with the whole turnover comment. Turner averaged just as many as Wall… Very turnover proned, which should change in the NBA when he doesn’t have to do as much, but still… He turns that ball over frequently. We’ll see if the theory that it’s because he had to do so much in college is true.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantIs it possible to have this topic stickied? This type of thread is made more than once a week. By the way I would go with Wall.
