sitlbitoParticipantAfter yesterday’s thriller,Serbia will take on Lithuania for a spot in the olympics. Serbia is the heavy favorites, but Lithuania came up on top on every close game in this tournament(except one they lost on a buzzer beater that shouldn’t have counted). 3 pm eastern.

herceg_bukuParticipantIts gonna be hell of a game, Lithuania just like Serbia have a great basketball history and throughout the decades both nations have been powerhouses, while producing many memorable players. However, i believe that Serbia will win this game, due to the fact that for Lithuania Jonas Valacinuis really needs to produce for them to win, and Serbia has plenty of front court that is able to give him major problems on offense and defense. As well, nothing is set is stone so we will see what the end result will be.

kazamParticipantSerbia is going to be a handful for Lithuania. Teodosic is as seasoned a player as there is in this tournament and Serbia has no shortage of big guys to battle with Jonas on the inside. Should be an excellent contest.

kazamParticipantSerbia has been fun to watch. I really enjoyed watching Croatia (would have liked it better if Bender had been able to play), and believe they will be a tough out in the next few years

sitlbitoParticipantWell Dragan Bender has barely played professional basketball yet,so he’s still far away from the senior national team. But even after this year’s failure,Croatia should be one hell of a team in a few years, when(if?) all players will have matured.

sitlbitoParticipantLithuania DID IT! 67-64 win over Serbia and it was well deserved. They led throughout the whole game, led by Valanciunas’ 15 points,4 blocks,3 rebounds(I don’t know if he ever had more blocks than rebounds in a game). Kuzminskas(who’s sooo fun to watch),Seibutis added 13,Kalnietis had 12,9 assists but 8 turnovers. Teodosic led all scorers with 16. France and Serbia, possible opponents for Canada next year at the Olympic qualifying tournament.
