    http://www.dailythunder.com/2011/11/kd-dressed-up-as-a-flag-football-player-for-halloween/

How did Kevin Durant, two-time scoring champ, NBA All-Star and global superstar in general choose to spend his Halloween? On campus at Oklahoma State playing some flag football.

Seriously. File another story under “KD is just about the coolest dude ever.” I think he’s just showing off now.

Early Monday, KD tweeted he was one bored basketballer and was in the mood for some flag football. “This lockout is really boring..anybody playing flag football in Okc..I need to run around or something!”

An OSU student, George Overbay, tweeted him back saying his team played at 10 p.m. KD responded, “Can I play?” (which is hilarious to me). He told KD to bring his “A” game. And here’s the crazy part: KD actually showed up. I would say I can’t believe it, but I totally can.

Durant made the two-hour drive to Stillyville and threw four touchdowns and had three interceptions. After the game, he tweeted: “I had soooo much fun at Oklahoma st playing flag football! Shoutout my new buddy @groverbey for inviting me! I threw 4 tds and had 3 ints!!”

That TD run remind you of anything? I had flashes of Vince Young.

At one point an OSU fan got KD to shout “OU sucks!” which of course instantly won over everyone watching. Which you might not be surprised but a solid crowd of something like 500 gathered to watch the game.

What can you say about it? Another feather in the cap of Durant and not because it was some marketing plan or PR ploy. It was just KD being KD. Super cool, as always.

Nah, I think this is legit KD being KD.  This dude just seems like an awesome guy who legitimately just wants to have fun and loves sports.  He doesn’t seem like a huge social guy, but sports is kind of his outlet to "hangout" and meet people.

To me, he may be the most humble superstar I’ve ever seen.  He comes off kind of shy, but that doesn’t affect his dominance in sports at all.  I’d love to meet KD.  He was raised properly, props to his parents.  Def. one of the few athletes I would love to seem my kid have as a role model.  In a league of wanna be thugs and gangster, KD is a refreshing sight.

Couldn’t of said it better man. The dude is great for all the youth who are about to grow up with the NBA.

kevin durant, when he was playing in seattle, bought a house on Mercer Island which is 15 mins east of seattle, and it just so happened to be right around the corner from my dads house. my dad’s neighbor had 3 boys and the guy said kevin would play video games all the time with them. kevin lived with his mom too…i think we forget that hes only 22.

like to see him at the negotiating table more rather than goofing around in Oklahoma.
