Durant in Toronto at Drakes OVO Fest with Derozan

Pretty interesting title huh. Let’s start off by confirming this is not a "Durant to Toronto 2016"thread. But I am happy the city is getting some love and have to say Drake has done alot to influence that. King James and Kevin Durant were here earlier in the week for a kickball charity game Drake funded. It got rained out but its the thought that counts. KD was seen at the Blue Jays game and OVO fest with a David Price jersey on as we.
In the past Kevin has stated he dreamed playing for the Raptors as a kid as he was widely influenced by Vince Carter and oddly liked the jerseys and the fact they were a new team. I doubt the Raptors have any real shot at landing KD this sorta reminds me of when a HS player puts Duke, Kentucky, Arizona and his hometown St. on his final recruit list and you know he is not going to the hometown team but he keeps them on the list to show them love and give them some attention. I hope he went to Caribana (Google it) that would make him never wanna leave.

  He did come to Toronto I was just explaining what he was doing. Drake also held the OVO Bounce games where team Jennings won and alot of pros played. It’s not just Durant alot of people came thru this weekend it was a blast in Toronto. Only problem is every time there’s an OVO Fest, or Caribana, or any big events there seems to be more stabbings and shootings. Gets annoying that some people have to tarnish these events.

    He gets a max contract from now to whenever he decides to retire sort of like Kobe so I doubt it matters who he has as an agent. Not much negotiation its max contract or I’ll take another offer.Signing with JJay Z and coming out for Drake is him gaining longterm friends in other industries. These guys dont only make money off of the NBA.

Personally I’m not a fan of Drake and find his music miserably boring, but when the only other Canadian musical artists I can think of are Avril Lavigne & Justin Bieber then I guess I can see why you guys like Drake so much.

  I agree I’ve never been a fan of his music. But he really takes this whole running the city thing seriously. He has great events, he brings stars here, they have a good time and then they wanna come back. Gotta respect how hard this guy actually works.
