IlladelphParticipantLink to espn video and writeup. Grayson Allen’s respnse to a newspaper asking him about tripping the FSU opponent was that he is being played physically by other teams, so somehow his behavior is justified?? Ok, so if the other team is playing hard then it’s okay to be dirty and trip a player. And worse, right after he does it he turns around and has his palms up as if it’s the FSU player’s fault that he tripped. Grayson Allen = Laetner level douchebaginess.

IlladelphParticipantOk, so you are defending the guy by comparing him to another notoriously dirty, and hated, Duke player? I guess I’d have to agree with you that he does have Laettner’s "specialness" too…

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantDidnt he pull this exact same crap at Louisville the other day? If Coach K doesn’t suspend him a game for being a repeat offender, the ACC or NCAA ought to. Being competitive is one thing. Being a poor sport and tripping your opponents on purpose and putting them at risk for serious injury, that’s some bush-league crap.

connybucketsParticipantGrayson is doing the exact thing Laettner did. Dominate you in the game while beating you up in the process

McDunkinI don’t know if I would consider grade school level tripping as beating anyone up.

ncballerTop this off with the fact that the refs fall for his headsnap and flailing arm flops all the time and you have an extremely hateable player. He is extremely competitive, but he will get laid out by someone like Andre Drummond in the league if he keeps this BS up.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI guess the ACC came out and "condemned it", but didn’t suspend him. Fat chance that stops him from doing it again, lol

Hype MachineA white Dukie with a posh-sounding name….the chances of him being a popular NBA player are slim to begin with.

TWILL123ParticipantGrayson Allen is the biggest douche that I have seen play basketball in the last 20 years. Jaylen Johnson (Louisville player) gave him a nice, firm elbow to the face last Saturday, and if he keeps this BS up he is going to get a lot more than that. Especially if he tries to pull this crap in the NBA, he’ll be mashed into the floor.

TarHeelRavenParticipantGrayson Allen is too good of a player to be acting like a complete dickhead. I hate Duke, and I understand Grayson is tough as nails and a fierce competitor, but that’s not basketball. Couple his on court antics with Coach K bitching and moaning about not getting the call at the end of the Syracuse game when Coach K has benefitted from more questionable calls in his career than the next 10 hall of fame college coaches combined and its easy to see why a lot of people despise Duke.

PrecociousNeophyteParticipantSo if you are not a good player you can act like a “dickhead”. No one should do what he did. It doesn’t matter how good you are

oogellsParticipantAs big of a douche as he seems, there is hope for him. Granted JJ Redick wasn’t known as a dirty player but wow was he hated the world over, including myself. But he stayed humble, worked on his game, and now I’d say he’s respected leaguewide in the NBA and with the fans. No way was Allen getting suspended tho, Coach K rightfully has had the ACC by the balls for years.

ExumInfernoParticipantMaybe he plays hockey, you only get in trouble for 2 minutes with a penalty there.
