llperezdang, that’s harsh sheltwon. Talk about kicking a team when their down. But yeah, they suck

QUINCEYlol…yeah that suprised me from you..but youre right they will probably still suck

Mr. BasketballParticipanthe went 8 of 21 (not good). he only scored 26 pts on 21 shots. and he is a completely different player. hey so james singleton had 19 pts and 21 rebs today and the wizards still lost. does that mean if they get chris bosh and he averages lesser stats than that then they will suck, no. ur an idiot sheltwon. hey while ur thinking of more idiotic ways to project next seasons records, I have some more “great” analysis for you.
1) so the bobcats have been the better team historically than the lakers when they match-up, does that mean the bobcats are a better franchise?
2) the lakers had a good record without kobe and we’re playing better without him than with him, should they release him?
If you think those were stupid re-read yours.

llperezyeah, clippers is correct on this one. I have no idea if the clippers will be any good next year, but you can’t really look at gooden putting up some decent stats and say that equates to what griffin will bring. But I think the clippers are gonna need to do a few things this off season if they want to make the playoffs. Baron, Kaman, and rasual butler aren’t exctly gonna be getting much better and there’s no gaurantee that girffin will be a major difference maker.

sheltwon3ParticipantI was not trying to hate, I am actually concerned. They are so talented what is their problem will a coach really solve all this. Sorry clippers for being so brash. You should be concerned with your team as well. Mike D could coach a team this talented to a the playoffs and has a knicks team with lil talent close to 30 wins in a very good Eastern Conference that has normally been weak.

sheltwon3ParticipantI never said he was a definite and clippers i am not talking about one game man really do you honestly see Blake putting up an average of what Gooden has done since he go to the clippers. I am not a Gooden fan but he has played well and unless clipper can make some drastic changes they will suck next year. this is not meant to offend but if you are hey that is life

QUINCEYchances are pretty good that the clippers will still be pretty bad next year. cant use the lakers without kobe example though because blake isnt kobe
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 5:37pm #269581

Mr. BasketballParticipanti know if they have the exact same team they’ll suck but they won’t. they will make major changes. that starts with getting rid of baron. also, they should trade kaman for some good young pieces. they need to completely rebuild and i hope they realize that. my problem with your statement is that not only is griffin a very different player, but they were playing a very good team on the road and the team has already mailed it in so you can’t take anything away from their performances now. they are all just padding their stats because the whole team is pretty much on the free agent market. also, saying a team will suck is too far. i mean if a team wins 35 games they don’t suck and a team that cares next year led by griffin and gordon could get that easily. they suck because they are led by a clown in baron.

Mr. BasketballParticipantquincey u completely missed the point of my 2 examples for sheltwon. i said they were stupid, non-sensical arguments similar to his…

QUINCEYhow many times have they had major changes?..every couple of years…and what major changeswill they have…the only thing i see is blake playing..baron will still be there as well as kahman. impredicting themto be bad next year as well. maybe they can prove me wrong but history is on my side

QUINCEYi dont agree with the gooden blake thing he said though
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 5:57pm #269593
NYK2010ParticipantThey get the 10th pick in the draft, Blake Griffin and have cap room.
They should be .500 next year or else need to make some major changes.0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 6:07pm #269596

sheltwon3Participantclippers your problems is you did not read what i wrote because had you read what I wrote then you would understand what i was saying
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 6:12pm #269597

sheltwon3ParticipantCan you guys all read, I never said Gooden and Blake were the same. I said if Blake puts up similiar numbers and Blake is a different player but the thing is they are both power forward so it is not like Blake win has totally different impact as far as what. Points, boards, blocks. If you will disagree be ready to actually put out facts and stuff and read what I said. People please as you get older as men and just in general learn to keep your emotions in check. Emotion cause you to see things that aren’t there. I have no emotional ties for or against the clippers but right now they suck and despite the difference they are getting solid play for the 4 spot that will be manned by Griffin. How much more than what Gooden is bring will Blake bring. Will that really be the difference in clippers winning. I don’t think so. They need a new coach and a new point guard and a lot of other pieces but as is they will be a terrible team next year.

Mr. BasketballParticipantif all there players except for 5 are free agents, how can u say they will be bad next year. u don’t know 2/3 of their roster. they could sign a big free agent for all u know. griffin brings a lot more, so does a real coach, and so do a top ten pick, a free agent, and a fresh start without baron. the gooden thing is stupid because zach randolph might have put up great stats last year but it meant nothing. u put a stud in there with the same stats it will probably mean more cuz he won’t be a stat padder that doesn’t play defense or play within the offense.

llperezClippers, you keep bringing up how the clippers will be better once baron is gone like it’s a sure thing. Last I checked he is an injury prone overpriced veteran. It’s not like the clippers can just say, “hey, I know let’s trade Baron Davis, sound good guys?”. Until we hear otherwise, you might want to accept baron IS your starting pg.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 6:43pm #269615
QUINCEYyou notice you say if they do this or that. history has shown they will be bad. they keep the same team or add different players they still end up being bad. they had a different team 3 years ago and 3 years before that and 3 years before that and they were still bad. players dont wanna go to the clippers and the ones that will probably go there will be going just for the pay check and wont worry to much about wanting to win. chances are the clippers will continue there path of being the worst franchise in sports history…any sport
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 7:26pm #269626

Mr. BasketballParticipantthats funny cuz in 05-06 they went to the 2nd round of the playoffs…not exactly always sucking. thats pretty recent too. before the livingston injury, the clippers we’re 31-23 and 4th in the West, and the lakers were 28-28. Everything has gone downhill since. without that injury, the clippers are riding high in the west with a top 5 pg in livingston and not baron. if they have the right players it works. its just that they don’t get the right guys. baron is a bad character, ricky davis was, so was zach randolph, kaman doesn’t give it his all and has mental lapses ALL THE TIME, especially in the 4th quarter. they just need to build around good guys who work hard like griffin and gordon. im not saying they’ll bee a playoff team next year but they won’t suck if they just rebuild correctly. hard-working young talent doesn’t suck because it can beat a good team 4 out of 10 times.

sheltwon3ParticipantI am tired of arguing with clipper. Dude is delusional because clippers always have draft picks and contiue to suck and who will want to go there. None of the top free agents is going to the clippers. Baron Davis contract is moveable only because there are a lot of other bad contract out there. They will have to make the move soon though because after next year every team may have a promising young point guard and a decent veteran behind them.

Mr. BasketballParticipanthe’ll go to the knicks for eddy curry probably and then maybe they’ll release/buyout eddy curry.
