Lotto StudParticipantDoes the base/stance of a lefty indicate how much more dominate or likely they are not to use their off hand or go right at all?
What is your personal perception on the tendencies of lefties?
Also could you please identify if you are left-handed or right-handed?

Land of GrantParticipant#1: Don’t know.
#2: In sports, especially soccer, lefties seem to be less ambidextrous than righties, but with more powerful strong feet. So a righty has a weaker right foot than a lefty’s left, but a stronger left than a lefty’s right. So lefties are more left dominant than righties are right dominant.
#3: I’m a righty.

Lotto StudParticipantIf you happen to play ball. Does your left leg tend to stretch out farther in your shooting stance or when you defend?
I’m ambidextrous but play lefty. I do not have a base that what I consider is "norm" for most left-handed players. I do not lead with my left leg out at all when shooting, I have a standard base such as a right-handed player. Hope this helps with what I’m trying to convey.
Notable lefties with tendencies of leading with their left leg.
- Brandon Jennings
- Manu Ginobili
- Josh Smith
- Zach Randolph
- Chris Bosh
I wanted to see many views of someone observing or scouting left-handed player tendencies before I gave my opinion that’s all.

GabnosisParticipantI’m left handed and left footed, but when I shoot the ball my left foot is usually in front and my right foot has a tendency of forming a "L" ^^. I just don’t feel "right" when my two foot are parallel… And we "lefty" always have a "weird" shots according to others haha

Lotto StudParticipantI’ve paid close attention to all the lefties I have played with or against currently and am realizing that it’s about a 99% chance I’m likely to see what you are expressing. I don’t know if it has anything to do with me being ambidextrous for me not to have the same base. More so I took notice that the more likely a lefty is to lead with their left foot the less likely they are to go right.
For all you defenders who say that lefties are the most difficult to guard, take this mental note from me being ambidextrous. Focus on how far the left leg leads when they shoot or defend, it will help you be able to have the ups on them because you will identify their tendency immediately.

Lotto StudParticipantWhy so much emphasis from an announcer when a lefty finishes with the off-hand (Conley Game 4 vs Thunder)? I’m starting to feel as if they look at us all as being handicapped.

King CaluchaParticipantI’m right-handed but left-footed, so my stance is usually weird. I think i lead with my left feet.
In basketball I’m a 100% right handed for shooting. However in soccer I can play with both legs almost equally as accurate and strong.
I can say that in soccer lefties have strong tendencies. Lefties tend to shoot to their rights in penalty kicks (this tendency is ridiculous… I’d say 70-80%). Also, lefties tend to be more creative with the ball, which is why most left wingers are usually given green light by the coaches.
