Counting StarsParticipantThis is a link to a story about a study that that explains aerodynamically how the difference of the location of the belly button in white athletes and black athletes can affect athletic ability. According to the study (done by both black and white researchers), blacks’ navels tend to be located higher, which makes them faster on the track. Whites’ navels tend to be lower, giving them longer torsos which gives them an advantage in swimming.
I’m not saying one way or another what I think, but I do find it interesting to say the least.

Toronto16ParticipantI don’t think your navel can affect the speed of your legs moving. Most of these “studies” are made up anyway, I wouldn’t put too much into this.

HaakaanParticipantLol couldn’t they just have said blacks have longer legs and skipped the belly button part?

Counting StarsParticipantNo, they couldn’t have skipped that. According to the study, it’s relevant to center of gravity and ergodynamics and such.
