aamir543ParticipantGrnat Hill is fantastic player and I feel happy for him that he is finally able to stay healthy, but is he a hall of fame player? I believe that he is borderline hall of Famer that will eventually get in(well deserved), and if he had even one more healthy season in the hall of fame, he would get in eventually. But for his first seven years he was a beast, and if Lebron were to stop playing right now-the same point Hill was at when he had his injuries- wouldn’t he make hte hall of Fame?

ilike.panochasParticipantNo hes not a hall of famer in my eyes. He missed far many seasons, and his prime years were a span of only 4-5 years. If Hill is to get in, I would argue TMac has had a better career.

quinceyh1Is this a joke?..i like Grant but injuries killed his chances at the hall of fame.

sheltwon3ParticipantThe thing is Grant is playing solid late in his career and could possibly make up some of those lost years if he can get on a playoff team and at least make the finals. I think when it is all said and done he should sneak in the Hall of Fame. He may not be first ballot but somewhere down the line.

BasterdInABasketParticipantsince its not just an nba hall of fame doesnt it also include college and olympic acheivements also?
7x all star
2x ncaa champ
1x olympic gold
currently has 16545 pts (13th most active) which puts him just behind cousy, webber, kidd and in front of archibald, dumars, worthy, nash, maravich, frazier and dennis johnson
I bet he’ll get in and who knows he might even add to his numbers

Ricky BobbyParticipantIF Grant Hill never would of gotten hurt he would of been a Hall of Fame lock. In his prime Grant Hill was one of the greatest forwards to ever touch a basketball. I remember watching him and he was one of the most versatile players in his time for the Pistons.

quinceyh1That means Vince carter is a definite hall of famer. Anyone who scored early then got injured and then play’s till they are 38 will be high on a scoring list. If Webber played as long i’m pretty sure he would be farther along

Demarcus OnealParticipantThis is the BASKETBALL hall of fame not the NBA hall, So therefore I think since he has been an great ambassador for the NBA won back to back titles with Duke and is an Olympian he has an outside shot to get in

quinceyh1It goes by you’re NBA career not what you did in college or the Olympics or if you are a ambassador

TallmanNYCParticipantThe Basketball Hall of Fame looks at your entire basketball career. There are international folks in it who didn’t get in for their NBA career (see Sabonis).
Hill has a shot. Considering how well he is playing this year (excellent defense and good enough offense), he might still have years of playing. But his best years were only very good. I don’t think he was ever considered a top five guy in the league. Not even when he was in Detroit averaging 20, 8 and 6. Though he did do that for about 5 years. So it wasn’t a short amount of time. Character counts for some of the voters, and Hill has that part locked down. And of course the College career is very strong.
