Do you think you can draft a team better than the 2011-2012 Bobcats?

It’s the 2012 Draft and your team gets:

In the First Round you get picks 1,7,9,12,and 24

In the Second Round you get picks 31, 40, and 55.

Also, you can sign 3 players/college seniors who have declared for the draft but aren’t projected to be drafted or aren’t in the 2012 Mock Draft.

    Rules:

    • List who your gonna draft with each pick (Do no draft someone later than they are projected to be, example: MKG at 7th)
    • List who you’re gonna sign
    •  Make a depth chart
    • (optional) give reasons why your team would win a 82 game series against the Bobcats

Can i draft better then Jordan? Yes. But probably not iin one year. I remember when mj first took over Washington and he had rip Hamilton and Courtney Alexander from Fresno state who were both young promising sg’s and mike was asked about how those two were gonna fit together and he responded by saying ” Richard is good, but Courtney is gonna be an all-star”. Lol

1,7,9,12, and 24? You could easily get a team better than the Bobcats

    1st – Davis

    7th- Jeremy Lamb

    9th – Tyler Zeller

    12th – Terrance Jones

    24th- Marquis Teague

That would be a very solid team and could beat a lot of teams imo. Wouldn’t make the playoffs, but wouldn’t have the worst winning percentage either.

The Bobcats really have all these picks? I had no idea, they have every opportunity to build a good team.

1st- Anthony Davis, 7th- Jeremy Lamb, 9th- Kendall Marshall, 12th- Tyler Zeller, 24th- Quincy Miller, 31st- Draymond Green, 40th- Khris Middleton, 55th- Robert Sacre, Undrafted- Dee Bost, Undrafted- Ricardo Ratliffe, Undrafted- Michael Snaer

    PG- Marshall, Bost

    SG- Lamb, Snaer

    SF- Miller, Middleton

    PF- Davis, Green, Ratliffe

    C- Zeller, Sacre

Do I think this team could beat the Bobcats? Absolutely not.  NBA players are conditioned and built specifically for the NBA game, and college players are not at that level.  Could this team beat the current Bobcats in a few years? Absolutely. Lamb, Davis, and Miller all have a good level of growing and adapting to do, but can all be great NBA players.  Marshall distributing helps to open up options on offense, and Zeller and Davis are mobile and offensively skilled. Middleton is a player that I can see being a very high value pick, and Green brings experience and leadership to this team.

    1st pick- Anthony Davis

    7th pick- Austin Rivers

    9th pick-  Perry Jones

12th pick-  John Hensen (maybe this is high but I might try this dude at center)

    24th pick-  Marquis Teague

31sr- Draman Green ( sorry can’t spell his name since i don’t have the list in front of me)

40th-  Kim English (  i use to live in missouri) and feel he could be a decent player off the bench

55th- Tayshaun Taylor ( again sorry i don’t have the list in front of me )  im guessing

Trade pick 1 to either Cavs or Wizards for 2nd or 3rd to nab Andre Drummond.

    Maybe for another 2nd rounder.

    Pick 7-Damian Lilliard.

    Pick 9-Perry Jones.

    Pick 12-Jared Sulinger.

    Pick 24-John Jenkins.

    Pick 31-Kris Joseph.

    Pick 40-Khris Middleton.

    Pick 55-Robert Sacre.

And with the extra 2nd round pick I would add either Scott Machado or Maalik Wayns.

    PG; Lilliard/Machado or Wayns

    SG:Jenkins/Middleton

    SF;Jones/Middleton/Joseph

    PF:Jones/Sulinger/Drummond

    C;Drummond/Sacre

1st pick- Anthony Davis-This pick doesn’t need much explanation: best player in the draft, therefore he’s my number one pick.

7th pick- Kendall Marshall-He’s projected to go 8th, so I need to get my favorite point guard before he’s off the board. He’s already a great floor general and down the stretch he showed he can shoot and score as well.

9th pick- Tyler Zeller-Most skilled center in the draft, and already has good chemistry with PG Kendall Marshall. He would serve as a nice compliment to the more defensive-minded Anthony Davis.

12th pick- Terrence Ross- My favorite shooting guard in the draft. He has great size, athleticism, and shooting at the wing.

24th pick- Jeffery Taylor- A great athlete that’s continuing to improve his skill. His blue-collar attitude on defense is a quality I like in him and should be able to contribute on offense due to his excellent finishing ability in transition and evolving jump shot.

31sr- Draymond Green- Ideal 6th man. Versatile, tough, smart, great leader. Leadership is a must on this young team, and Draymond can help this team off and on the court.

40th- Khris Middleton- I can’t believe this guy’s going this late in mock drafts. A bonafied first round talent but he’s been riddled by injuries this past season. I’ll roll the dice and hope this guy stays healthy.

55th- Kyle O’ Quinn- A back up big man that can give a nice presence on the defensive side of the ball. Has an NBA ready body and an NBA ready game.

I think this team can challenge the Bobcats because of their ability to get points in transition thanks to their cerebral point guard, Kendall Marshall, and a very athletic team that can run and finish. This team has a nice balance between offensive and defensive minded players and might give the pathetic Bobcats a run for their money.

In the very rarest of cases players can come in and start from day one and be effective in the NBA… As bad as the Bobcats are, I don’t think essentially a college team could just come in and beat them right away as bad as they are.

Yes… Neg me for saying that.. But seriously do you guys honestly believe complete freshman.. Almost no freshman produce their freshman year by the way.. Yet somehow, all of you are essentially agreeing that a group of 12, different for ever person can produce immediately for an NBA team… I’m skeptical.. and drunk.. Don’t judge too harshly..

     1. Anthony Davis

    7. Jeremy Lamb

    9. Damian Lillard

    12. Tyler Zeller

    24. Quincy Miller

    31. Will Barton

    40. Mike Scott

    55. Robert Sacre

UFA: Marcus Denmon, Tu Holloway, Jae Crowder

    Line-up:

    PG: Lillard, Holloway

    SG: Lamb, Barton

    SF: Crowder, Miller

    PF: Davis, Crowder, Scott

    C: Zeller, Sacre

I don’t think this team could beat the Bobcats just because the NBA game is different than the college game and veteran players will know how to win against a raw, inexperienced team like this.  If it took its lumps the first few seasons with faith that everything would turn around, I think the team would easily have a brighter future than the Bobcats, as long as it signed some veterans later on.

There is something to be said for adult professional players being better than guys just drafted. But the bobcats are just bad. They are mainly mistakes who should not be in the league. I would go with the full new team. Though maybe the current bobcats would play harder if they were playing to win.

No way they beat the Bobcats since the Bobcats are already professional players and these are just college kids. But I think they would make the games interesting.
