Lemons4LifeParticipantVery good question. As being a hugeeeeee fan of d-wade i think he’s going to Chicago. For many reasons, Chicago is one of the best places for him in my opinion. I also think if Wade goes there they can trade Salmons & Tyrus as much as i like him for someone like Stoudemire or Bosh. Also, giving up draft picks. So the final answer to your question is:
No. 😀

Meditated StatesParticipantI dont think he will stay. Miami is not known to be a strong supporter of it’s basketball team no offense to the few die hards, but people did not come out until Shaq dropped in and they left as soon as he was gone. They are not a basketball city. The team is not putting good enough talent around him either.

RickyRubio9ParticipantOnly two players will be on the roster next summer, Beasley and Chalmers. Both options the team will pick up, Wade can basically choose his team from then on. I think he will. Those two are solid players and can turn into something more.

llperezI think he stays. But the franchise will probably need to do something next summer before he resigns. Just sitting back while Beasley and Chalmers develop aint gonna cut it.

canesboy6ParticipantWade has a ring in Miami. If Wade was smart he would stay in Miami. Miami is a top 10 NBA gig, and he has a lot of say in what goes on. I feel like the Lakers are kind of Kobe’s team, they don’t alllways listen to him but he is involved in descicion making. Lebron obviously is the same. He has a chance to set up his team, in his prime, in a city that can bring in free agents and has shown it can pull the trigger on a trade. Beasley is nasty, he was only 19 last year and was a good rookie, he will be fine. They could even lure some bigs next offseason.
At this stage in his career, he couldn’t set up good roots anymore. Him and Riley are on the same page and I dont think he can get a more powerful duo in any other front office.0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/25/2009 - 3:48pm #205946
quincey hodgesi really really think boozer will be there next year..he’s all but indicated that he will be there and his contract is only for this year so miami will get him next year without having to trade any parts for him. i think thats one reason why they havent been on a mad spending rush

amilcarParticipantI have thought for some time that Wade would stay in Miami… he has always seemed to be a loyal guy, and the city, not to mention the team is “his”… he is already the best player in the teams history, and if they can become a year in conference contender, make it to the finals once or twice more he will cement his legacy, and be tied to the team forever (ala Reggie Miller w/Pacers, Ewing with Knicks, etc), but he is already an NBA champion (maybe Olajuwan w/Rockets is closer…), BUT the more I think about it, he will really consider Chicago… first of all he’s from there… everybody dreams of playing in their hometown, and Wade is one of the elite players that could stand up to performing in the shadow of Michael Jordan (even at the same position!)… even if Miami gets Boozer, I’m not sure how good they’ll be, and Chicago has much more talent… although the Bulls have been a little up and down over the last 4 years, they are generally good, and have been tough in the playoffs. Think about the allure of playing with Rose in the backcourt… even if you had to trade away Salmons and Thomas, you’d potentially still have combinations of Hinrich, Deng,Noah, as well as the scoring/upside of Johnson (who I think will be good soon), and the defense/ energy of Gibson… maybe another traditional big and the Bulls are starting to look pretty darn good… what do you think?

SDEParticipantit all depend if FA’s feel like they can play with him, People want to play with LBJ cause he will pass the ball can Wade pass up shooting so much to make his team better?

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantOf course Wade can pass up shooting to make his team better. Sure he had to take alot of shots last year because he was carrying his team on his back but he’s also a very good ball-handler and passer as well as an unselfish teammate.

quincey hodgespersonally id love to him him with the bulls..i know the team with him and the players wouldnt be together long after his big contract the rose evetually getting a big one. i think deng has a big one salmon will ask for more and tyrus and noah will get overpaid from some team. the thing i noticed about wade though is even though he plays shooting guard he likes to have the ball in his hands most of the time, getting rebounds and going coast to coast or starting the offense his self. most sg like that tend to have a average to a lil above average pg with them and never a actually all star pg with them. i cant think of any sg that didnt ya’ll are more then welcome to come up with one. i would say billups and hamalton but hamilton is more of a catch and shoot player that likes the ball after running around screens

NYK2010ParticipantHow many teams have cap room for Max players?
Even if Miami keeps him they won’t win anything, the rest of those young players are nice but they don’t have a Center.
If they resign Wade they have Beasley and maybe add Boozer for 13-15 mill with Chalmers thats almost 40 mill but thats with only 4 guys plus the draft picks about 2 mill. So you have 11-13 mill left for 7-9 players not counting the mid level, bi-anual and min. exceptions.0 - Posted on: Wed, 08/26/2009 - 2:57am #206145

gatorheelsParticipantNYK2010- A lot of teams will have the cap room for a max player including the Clippers, TWolves, Knicks, Bulls, Rocket, Heat, Kings, Nets

JoeWolf1He’s already won a title there and Miami is a long way from being back at that level. I bet he’ll go somewhere where he thinks he can win a second ring and play deep into the playoffs year in and year out.

NYK2010ParticipantTeams listed having cap room for max players Clippers, TWolves, Knicks, Bulls, Rocket, Heat, Kings, Nets.
Websites don’t include player option as for the Rockets Aaron Brooks has a team option for 2 mill, same goes for Dorsey and Hayes thats another 3.2 mill. Yao most likely will not opt out considering he won’t be playing this year. So they are at about 48 mill not including next years 1st round pick.
Is Wade really going to sign with the Kings that franchise is a mess and they have Kevin Martin and Evans at SG already.
The Clippers have Gordon at SG, even if he wants to go there not enough shots for everyone with Davis, Gordon, Griffin and Wade. Also can’t see Wade going to the Clippers unless they improve big time this year.Since the cap could be between 50-53 mill and Wade most likely won’t take less than 15 mill a year minimum you can’t be over 35 mill in contracts and teams like the Twolves may still sign Rubio thats another 3 mill guaranteed.
His real option are the Heat, Bulls, Knicks and Nets.
He probably chooses the Heat or Bulls, if he wants to win now sign with the Bulls.0 - AuthorPosts
