I have to ask because I seen something last night and when reviewing a couple games ( SU, Pitt and Nova)

I like Devin Ebanks. He is not a huge scorer. I think Ebanks might return next season for a junior year but Ebanks is someone who could come into the NBA and be a really good defender and a underrated scorer.

I don’t believe he scores alot because he has two better scorers with him in Kevin Jones and DeSean Butler.

I’m not saying he’s a lotto talent but he could be very interesting in the 15-25 range.

He can be a 11-12 ppg, 5-6 rebs, 2 assists, 1.5 stl, 1 blk player who plays elite on-ball defense. He reminds me of Trevor Ariza, especially at the same stage of development.

Those numbers would be great for any team in the NBA.

I agree he could increase his scoring and his passing but I like Ebanks and what I seen. He should enter the 2010 NBA draft because right now? It’s kinda murky in terms of prospects

I think he should return, because he’ll get to showcase his offensive game for NBA teams with Butler’s graduation. That could be for better of for worse though.

He actually looks a little like Ariza too 🙂

In all seriousness, Ebanks reminds me of a Trevor Ariza meets Lamar Odem…He’s got Odoms point forward and passing skills along with the wiry length and rebounding ability and pairs it with Ariza’s defensive prowess and athleticism. Ariza has really improved his offensive game since coming into the NBA out of UCLA and I think Ebanks will do the same in time. Right now he just doesnt have a jump shot. But he scores alot of his points off cuts, put backs and transition buckets.

I think Ebanks could be a 15-7-5 kind of player…and an excellent defender.

Excellent passer/defender. Still has a good deal of potential.
