MagikKnickParticipantNot too familiar with his game myself, anybody know anything about him?

IndianaBasketballParticipantA serious athlete who can run and jump. He’s an aggressive defender, but he needs to fine tune his skills… Shooting, ball handling, etc.

gatorheelsParticipantYeah he is super athletic but doesn’t shoot or pass well. He is good at getting to the rim. I don’t see him being a factor. Personally watching the Pistons in summer league….Summers, Daye, & Jerebko all looked better than Washington.

From_Downtown_33ParticipantHe was pretty much just a great athlete with no jump shot. He made a lot of highlight reel dunks and blocks. He had the potential to be a great defender but it never happened. Maybe it has now because i dont know why else they would sign him

MagikKnickParticipantYeah, I really dont understand this signing…
At SG they have Rip and Ben
and at SF they have the 3 rooks they drafted, plus Tayshaun and you can even include VillanuevaWere are the actual Piston fans? lol

JNixonParticipantAn even worse version of Rodney Carney, with a worse jumper and even worse handles.

IndianaBasketballParticipantMaybe the Pistons aren’t done making moves. Rip and Tayshaun have been rumored to be on the trading block many of times. I personally don’t think Washington is a bad signing. I think he has a chance to be a very good versatile defender.

IndianaBasketballParticipantHe’s more aggressive than Rodney Carney and a much better defender. He’s also tough minded.

QHaynes20They should use him as a Rodman…A defender to guard 2, 3 and 4s

BadBoysParticipantWouldnt Trevor Ariza’s scouting report read similar…..freak athlete, suspect jumpshot, suspect handles, ability to play great defense.
Check him out jumping over Greg Paulus…

JNixonParticipantHe’s wayyyyy too weak guard a post player.

blazerheadfreakhes a great defender like reja bell with no jump shot and he plays dirty ala bruce bowen

the_truth34Participantgot him because ben gordon is small for a 2 and RIP is going to play some small forward so they need a bigger shooting guard that can defend

bigmilsteadParticipantPistons drafted this guy last year out of VA tech . Ariza is an accurate comparison. Joe D sent him to Europe to refine his skills and from all accounts he’s ahead of shedule. I really like his game. He’s going dunk over and through guys and he’ll be an elite level stopper off the bench. Their gonna love him in the Palace.

marcusfizer21ParticipantDeron Washington is an eye-popping athlete with a huge vertical leap… He is a solid defender, the only thing wrong is that he doen’t have the ability to shoot… I saw his game when he was with VT and he is solid enough to play but sadly, I see him playing only garbage minutes with Detroit but he is a good athlete though. He needs to learn how to make plays and shoot the ball, with Rip and BG helping him out, there is a chance he will improve his game…

grizz_fan7ParticipantI wish the grizzlies would have got him, he would have been nice off the bench, oh well, anyway he is super athletic and probably one of the best dunkers in the game today, he plays great d and blocks a few shots here and there, but he has no shot so on offense you can only rely on him to do something near the basket(dunk layup tip in)And he is no starter, but if he develops an offensivve game to go along with his defensive game, he’d be a very solid player to have on your team

grizz_fan7Participanthe will most likely be a fan favourite wherever he goes with his style of play

thaprodigyParticipantIf u get in his way he’s subject to dunk on you and put you on youtube and he plays good he’s kinda like Trevor Ariza.

foxman2slyParticipantTezo83 broke down his game perfectly – he showed some promise at VT. He reminds me of a young Darius Miles. The Pistons already have an All Star SF, and drafted 3 SF’s….can you say D-League?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/11/2009 - 1:30pm #199357

JNixonParticipantHe reminds me of Darvin Hamm…
