Moon RiverParticipantKen Berger of CBS put out some NBA news today. What I thought was interesting:
-Execs believe Love to the Lakers in 2015 is going to happen
-Perhaps a mid season one and done tournament floated to Silver
-JR Smith has no trade value. Really.

rileymcshea3ParticipantLakers should try to get one of Milwaukees big men. John Henson or Larry Sanders would be a great fit with Kevin Love.

Moon RiverParticipantI would love that move as well for the Lakers. They just don’t have the assets to pull those things off, unfortunately. What they do this summer is going to be huge.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI think Love will be a Laker, he’s a free agent by 2015 (if he opts out) and the Lakers only have Kobe on the books by then. Love will probably want 18mil the first season meaning the Lakers will have about 17mil to work with; assuming Kobe hasn’t retired, the Lakers don’t have any other contracts, and the salary cap is at 60m by then..
That’s not a bad position to be in. Especially if they can bring back any combination of Henry, Farmar, Hill, Johnson, Marshall, and Meeks for cheap.
They’ll probably still have enough to find a good defensive big with the leftover money plus a solid PG with the MLE.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantAs much as I hate to say it, I’ve pretty much resigned to the fact that Love won’t be a Wolf much longer. If I were GM, I’d try and trade him and Brewer to Chicago for something along the lines of Butler, Mrotic, and Charlotte’s first this year, maybe another first

mbunner23ParticipantI agree, they need to try to get something for Love. Don’t wanna lose him for nothing.
