Delly had severe cramps after the game and needed to be taken to the hospital.  He really gave everything he had.  Hope he’ll be alright for game 4 on Thursday.  Other bad news is Shumpert is going to have an MRI on his shoulder he injured in game 3.  The Cavs can’t afford to lose either player at this point.

I hope he recovers ok. He’s been punching well above his weight all playoffs and I want to see it continue. Go Delly!

I just want to make a point to American people (including Lebron) who keep saying how hard Delly had it on is journey to the NBA….I know it’s a good story, but unfortunately it’s not true.

He was selected to go to the very prestigious Australian Institute of Sport – Center of Excellence as a teenager. For those unfamiliar, its the same institution that Bogut, Exum, Mills etc attended and a place where teenagers receive the very best training the country can possibly give them…and is an institution unrivaled anywhere in the world in terms of facilities.

Then he went to St Mary’s, a good college in a nice part of the US and became the college’s most decorated player.

He has had the opportunity to represent Australia as a starter in Olympic games and the FIBA World cup.

He comes from a good family situation, and comes from a country with amongst the highest standards of living in the world.

He went undrafted, but was still always likely to get a contract and had multiple teams intersted in him. He was far from unknown and was already an established Australian National team player by this stage.

So tell me how this guy has done it so hard? If you ask me, he’s had every opportunity in life to succeed and if you ask Delly, I bet he’d never say himself that he "did it tough" to get to the NBA.

Sorry for the rant….but Delly’s "Feelgood" story is certainly not one of hardship, but rather one of unbelievable opportunity!

Not many people really gave Cleveland a chance after Kyrie went down. For him to step up his play in his absence was a shocker to a lot of people. I knew he was a quality bench guy but didn’t think he’d play like this. Many people (including myself) had never even heard of him while he was in college.

The absurdity of the media coverage on Dellavadova floors me. The previous poster couldn’t have put it any better. Do people realize how supernaturally gifted you have to be to play in the NBA?

It annoys me when people talk about how somebody is just naturally gifted. Like, God was just nice to them. Nobody is born with a 40 inch vertical. You can’t just sit around and wait til your 20th birthday and unwrap a jump shot.

Hmm let me see, he grew up in Australia a country known for rugby and cricket, with basically no basketball history before Andrew Bogut. He went to a nice institution and nice college.

Ok, so in the US if a player is any good he has an oppurtunity to attend a fine school and a even better college with better competition at a grassroots level. Nowhere on the planet does a player have a higher chance to succeed in basketball than US. US has amazing facilities and i truly applaud them for that, because they put money into their sports.

Delly could have never had the competition growing up in Australia that he would have had in the US. He has a tremendous heart something a lot of players with all the God given talent are missing. He is nothing special i agree but he plays with his heart out and earned his spot, that is against all of his odds given his height and athletisism.

In the end i just want to wish him a long career and a lot of health, hell of a competitor, makes NBA fun to watch!

Its sort of like Jeremy Lin. I knew about Lin while he was at Harvard. I also knew he was a good player. Then he goes undrafted gets picked up by the Knicks and plays well and since he is not athletic and Asian he becomes a hero under the New York "gotta create a story" media.

Delladova is white and unathletic and he is in the limelight next to Lebron so naturaully its an amazing feel good story that he is in the NBA and the Cavs and NBA will use that storyline for every penny it can make. Might as well let it sell you if your into that kind of thing I just want to watch the players, the games and the managing side of the game not quite storylines.
