 I was watching European basketball games and the commentators kept talking about "the legend"Coach Blatt.

What do you think NBA fans call him, and do people here give him credit for his overseas results?

Also, how do you think he is coaching, he is better than their previous coach but everyone is better than Brown.  

I’m not sure the Cavs have had a very good coach since Coach Wilkens.  Injuries, new players, only one basketball, he doesn’t have a big center or a quality shooting guard, Blatt is under fire from some but will have Cleveland in the playoffs with three of the top players in the NBA on the team.

 He is likely a very good coach. However, He trying to coach a team with Lebron on it. I have never thought the coach of the team has had the power to be the coach. Lebron has has always been the coach of the team that he is playing for in the NBA. Good or bad ? This isnt new Ive seen him one up his coaches numerous times in the past.

I don’t think what he has done in Europe really matters. I only say this because it is a different league, faster pace, different rules, culture, different types of players, the power of agents, etc. To me it’s the same as looking at a successful college coach. It doesn’t always translate. There have been plenty of European players that had success in Europe that would come here and either return home or they would have a long period of adjusting to the game. No reason to think that Blatt doesn’t have an adjustment period.

I think you have to give Blatt some time. He’s still a rookie in the league himself. He signed on for a young team with low expectations only to end up with a team that a lot of people expect to contend. If you don’t see sufficient improvement over the course of the year and you don’t see that he has control over the team then remove him. The team has a lot of holes and a poor blend of talent, but as a coach you work with what you have. Even if the team isn’t perfect, he’s not in a situation where he has absolutely no talent.

 He’s got 4 legitimate NBA level scorers that can offensively take over a game, so he might want to find some way to work that into his gameplan. I’m not sure the defense can be fixed with what they have. If I’m him, I am looking to get up as many shots as possible and outscore teams.
