Wizard rookie John Wall will miss his 8th game of the season, when the Wizards play the Lakers tuesday night..Wall has dealt with several nagging injuries this season left foot sprain, knee injury and ankle injuries…..Some say the Wizards notoriously shaky medical staff are to blame…But Veteran guard Kobe Bryant took a line from The Great Mars Blackmon, and told Wall,” it must be the shoes”…Kobe told him he should change from Reebok to Nikes..Wall of course has a deal with Reebok, which has built 3 questionable ZigTech signature shoes for him..They advertise the shoes as Energy Drinks for your feet…But they’ve bought Wall nothing but injuries…

If i was Wall i would try anything to get on the court..Even if i had to wear a pair of those $20 Pay-Less Shoes….

Other players in the NBA wear those shoes and I know countless runners who say they are the most comfortable shoes they’ve had in a while its just bad luck

He should switch to Nike because their shoes are better and more stylish overall, but Reebok offered him more money and the chance to be the face of the entire company, similar to what Allen Iverson was. That is why he went with the Reebok deal. If he went with Nike, he would just always be backseat to Lebron, Kobe and Durant and not have a guarantee for a signature shoe in his first season or at all for that matter- Durant didn’t have a signature shoe his first year in the league, and Nike still won’t give Dirk a signature shoe at all. I’m not a huge Reebok fan, but it’s not everyday you have the chance to be the face of a major athletic company.

Could he get sued by Reebok for doing that?

I really think it’s those ZigTech shoes. They ZigTech thing wastes so much surface area on the bottom of the shoe, it must be more difficult to establish grip on the floor. Plus when I saw them at the store, the bottom felt rubbery – as if they had no traction. John Wall slips a lot in the games and I don’t remember this, or injuries, happening a lot in Kentucky (I didn’t watch tha much college basketball  last season, so I could be wrong). Danilo Gallinari wears the same sneakers and he’s been fine though, although, he doesn’t jump as high, run as fast, nor cut much as Wall.  I think Jameer Nelson does too. Jameer Nelson too.Anyone have any experience with these shoes?

I think a lot of blame has to go to the Wizards TERRIBLE medical staff. They’ve had a shaky reputaion for years, and there just making worse this season. Wall’s reckless-style of play is attributing to most of the injuries, but it’s the medical staff’s job to not allow somebody to play if they’re not fully healthy and are risking re-injuring it, especially with a franchise cornerstone like Wall. They’re saying that the foot sprain he suffered earlier is causing soreness in his knee now, and you know why, because the crack medical staff keeps rushing him back. I’m not the only Wizards fan that thinks that ths medical staff is terrible too. Why are they still here?

I think otherwise as to him not having a signature shoe deal. Wall was the face of college basketball and I believe if he went to Nike he would have been very marketable for them as far as bringing in sales for Wall’s shoes and and accessories.

I’ve used the ZigTechs and I hated them…  I’m no expert on shoes, but I was definitely slipping and sliding more than I normally do, and I had more ankle problems wearing the ZigTechs for 2 months than I did with all my other shoes the past 5 or 6 years, and I’m nowhere near as reckless as Wall. I switched back to my Nikes (mainly my Kobes), and I’ve been good ever since then.

If not the shoes, then it’s got to be the medical staff for not handling the injuries the right way…
