CelticJayhawkParticipantDrew Gooden was signed at 5 yr 32 million for MIL today, and personally i think it’s a good move. Too many teams are enamored with the idea of have Bosh and Lebron or Bosh and Wade or those 3 together..there are so many possibilities. But a guy like Ray Allen can still help out a team on the verge of a championship as a role player, and all though David Lee is not a mid level free agent, he’s a step below the top tier. Thoughts and comments on whether or not you think it’s more important to get two or three solid role players, or one superstar.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantNO!
The guys like Gooden, Lee, Allen, and whoever else you want to put in that group are fine. They are nice players who can help a team. Milwaukee might improve itself enough to get out of the first round and win a couple games in the second. They aren’t winning a title unless Brandon Jennings turns into the next Isiah Thomas. LeBron, Wade, and Bosh will be centerpieces of title teams. Two or three nice role players don’t win titles, stars do.

Tobe BryantParticipantYou have to have solid role players to support your superstars, ie. Spurs, Celtics, Lakers, and definitely the Pistons.
Superstars only fuel the NBA.
