JoeWolf1I almost went with the Manhattan Jaspers were pretty terrible last year and they were bad enough to have a guy with one arm on their team.

Michael.S.ParticipantMy, fault don’t get mad at me lol. They are a local school and I heard they were D-1, because I was advised to apply there, and that they stunk. Must have recieved false info. Don’t watch much college ball either, mostly an NBA guy.

JoeWolf1I just looked up Manhattan to see how they finished the year and they beat NJIT by 5. I already made my pick, but Houston Babtist looks like a pretty solid contender.

TC_42ParticipantI thought the one arm thing was a joke. I felt stupid looking it up. Definitely real.

cbeckermanParticipantyou may have a very valid point about hbu, if gonzalez was a few years younger and a better rebounder he may have had a chance to go pro.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 5:36pm #528592
cbeckermanParticipantits becoming a very solid conference but the three schools at the bottom are traditional powerhouses and I believe all have or came very close to sending player{s} to the league.juan mendez was a beast.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 5:46pm #528598

JoeWolf1Yeah, Manhattan almost made a sweet 16 several years ago, they actually almost beat Chris Paul’s Wake team to get there. They were a very good team back then, but when Bobby Gonzalez left they went down hill.
I shouldn’t know that much about them, but I jumped their bandwagon in the early 2000’s when they were good and kinda keep tabs on them when I’m bored.
