jaysmith1987ParticipantI am wondering what was up with the scouts who rated this class. They were so off in there projection of players it’s like they must have only seen the top players in there best aau game and not actually in person. If you look at some of the top recruits they have not even come close to looking like previous top flight recruits or even worthy of being a top recruit. Harrison Barnes is considered the top player and if you ever seen him play it looks like hes allergic to taking it to the hole and he keeps shooting threes and clanking them off the rim. Players like Fab melo Joe jackson Will barton who were supposed to come in and make a major impact at least look like future stars have been nothing close to the hype. Then on the opposite end the players not as high look alot better I mean if you seen Dwight Powell of Stanford play and hes a legit 6"10 small forward he looks like he has a really high ceiling and hes producing at about the same level as Harrison Barnes. Terrence Jones rated behind numerous players at the same position looks like he should be top 3 in this class hands down hes consider 13th best prospect and hes the only one having the Melo Durant Wall type of season. Deron Lamb looks every bit as good as Corey Joseph and Vander Blue was all over slam magazine as the next great Marquette Guard and he looks far from great. I know every freshman has a learning curve but I think the rankings might have put potential way over actual talent. I dont think the recruiters actually looked at players killer instincts or payed attention to the competition they played against.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantBarton has been inconsistant but he has cetainly shown that he is capable of big things. Three 20 point games and a 16 point, 7 rebound, 2 steal game against Kansas is nothing to dismiss for a player 8 games into his freshman year…
