Roberts is saying FTD ( Fear The Deer) and Sebastian retweeted it. Thoughts?

Michael.S.ParticipantBuck got another steal. Drastically improved their wings today, drastically. they have an awesome core now.

knicksfan7ParticipantI am surprised.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:38pm #338058

JNixonParticipantHe can be a decent scorer off their bench. They’ve improved their depth at SF now that’s for sure.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI really like CDR and I like the moves that the Bucks are making..
Jennings
Redd
Maggette
Mbah a Moute
Bogut
CDR
Luke
Ersin
DelfinoIm starting to think that they need to draft Whiteside or someone to be a C backup..
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:38pm #338061
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantI’m calling it…CDR+Jennings=Nice as Hell….Let Salmons Walk and draft the best PF at 15…Fear the Deer….
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:40pm #338062

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Bucks are impressing me… John Hammond is going to work.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:40pm #338063

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantAt this point, you have to think Milwaukee should look at a Big. I heard they liked Larry Sanders. I think it’s too high but They might see something I don’t.
I think Milwaukee should go Sanders in round 1 and Gallon in round 2.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:43pm #338067
GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI like this acquisition better than the Maggette one, actually. And it just adds credibility to the rumors that the Nets are indeed going to take Johnson at #3.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:43pm #338068

JNixonParticipantYeah I think they go for Sanders now, this site may have to change their mock because I doubt they go for a guard now.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:44pm #338069
kanebangerParticipantfear the deer
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:45pm #338071

MagikKnickParticipantCDR has grown on me, I like the “unorthodox” thing about his game, the whole herky-jerky thing.
Wonder why it has to wait for friday, though?
And how do we even know it stands for Fear The Deer, how do we know its not:
F**k Toney Douglas
Fat Tranny Dudes
Free The Dorks
Flippin The Duck?Nah, jk, seems legit, and he’s real happy about it, I guess being closer to Detroit will be exciting for him…
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:46pm #338074
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantand he better start over Redd…Who I think will be traded ala Tmac to them looking for Max Cap space in 2011…??? Philly might do a Iggy and Brand for Redd and the 15th…and just pray for a superstar…No more trades in the thread…CDR is the man…He and BJ are the future…Most Improved Player Award in the near future for CDR….
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:47pm #338076
FDAPOBucks actually worth talking about…
Wow
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:51pm #338080

FreeJasonryParticipantSo this basically means them taking Johnson is looking more and more apparent instead of a smoke screen. This is actually good for the Bucks now they can go after a glaring need in my opinion. Ilysova is better coming off the bench if you ask me. They could go for Sanders or reach for Orton or Hassan. And after last year I could see Hammonds reaching and not base his pick off numbers alone.
Now if the Nets draft Johnson they can get Lebron, Wade (doubt it), or Joe Johnson and play either combo together.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:52pm #338084

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’m impressed with their moves, but trading for Maggette is risky. He’s still owed $30,786,207 over three years, plus he was very selfish offensively and didn’t defend in Golden State.
It’ll be interesting to see what Skiles can get out of him.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:56pm #338093

butidonthavemoneyWhy would you put CDR and Corey Maggette on a team that had so much success last season playing defense???
They need to find a way to get Patrick Patterson in the draft this season.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:57pm #338094

FreeJasonryParticipantYeah Maggatte plays no D and wants to shoot all the balls..
We all know how Skiles is about defense and he doesn’t care how you play on O, see: The Bulls…. Luckily Jennings is more of a facilitator than a scorer like he showed early in the season or else it would be a battle for who gets the shots. They may need to get a C/PF because Bogut just seems to not be durable.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:02pm #338102

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantIn My Opinion, this has nothing to do with Wes Johnson. I still believe New Jersey is going Derrick Favors. I think NJ must have also fell in love with either a FA wing or even a late wing like Darington Hobson, Terrico White or even Stanley Robinson
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:05pm #338107

JNixonParticipantPeople don’t EVER say it, but John Salmons is an elite defender. I don’t know if they’ll keep him or what, but he’s one of the best defenders in the NBA and nobody even says anything about it.
Maggette and CDR aren’t defenders, but both would benefit from limited time on the floor. I think they’ll look to take a perimeter defender who can guard all 3 perimeter spots at some point in the 2nd round. Latavious Williams comes to mind.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:06pm #338111
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipanthe was jamming on some fool and they clipped him…he couldn’t help that…they need Patterson or Udoh to be there at 16…Start CDR and let Maggs be the 6th man…
Jennings-CDR-Moute-Patterson-Bogut-Maggs-Sova and Redd on the bench…
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:06pm #338112

JNixonParticipantAlso, I think they’ll look to pick Jerome Jordan too. They need a backup C. Kurt Thomas had to play when Bogut was out, and that was painful to see in some ways
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:07pm #338114

severinParticipantCDR is an incredible talent. Bucks still need a shooter. Delfino and salmons are keepers. Bogut is an all-star. Maggettee is a good option at the end of the shot clock although Jennings is the 1st. You need A PF. Ed Davis or Pat Pat would be the best but it is unlikely they fall that far. You need somebody to help Bogut on the Glass and defensively. Ersan can remain your starter at the 4 but this way he will also be able to log some minutes at the three. They will have a lot of options.
GO strong inside. PF Pat pat/Davis/Sanders/etc. Defense: SF Mbah a Moute/Maggette
C Bogut PF Pat Pat/Sanders/Davis
PG Jennings C Bogut
SF Maggette/Ersan/Mbah a Moute PG Jennings
SGSalmons/Delfino/CDR SG Salmons
Go small and fast. PG Jennings Rest Jennings and/or Bogut: SF Maggette/Ersan/Mbah a Moute
PF Maggette/Ersan/Mbah a Moute C Sanders/Pat pat/Davis
C Bogut PF Maggette/Ersan/Mbah a Moute

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantLet’s not forget, They have to sign Luke Ridinour back.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:09pm #338116

severinParticipantLast one came out crooked.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:12pm #338123
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantmaybe not like Moute…but he’ll d up…and he’ll buy into the Skiles style of play…I can say with all that’s in my heart that CDR will have a career similar to Salmons…he’ll be a clutch ass baller where ever he plays…
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:15pm #338128

severinParticipantStrong: Drafted PF; Bogut; jennings; Maggs/Ersan/Luc; Delf/Sal/CDR
fast and furious: Jennings; Delf/Sal/CDR; Maggs/Ersan/Luc; Maggs/Ersan/Luc; Drafted PF/Drew
Defense: Jennings; Maggs/Ersan/Luc; Maggs/Ersan/Luc; Bogut/Drafted PF; Delf/Sal
rest stars: Rid/Roko; CDR/Delf/Sal; Maggs; Drafted PF; Luc/Ersan0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:15pm #338129

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantMan, I forgot about Moute. I think right now it’s
Jennings- Douglas Roberts- Moute- Sanders- Bogut
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:17pm #338131

JNixonParticipantI’d play Ilyasova or Delfino at SF before Mbah a Moute. Maybe that’s just me. Skiles does love that guy.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:19pm #338134

severinParticipantCDR is talented. The question is can he adjust to different roles and also can he be effective without the ball in his hands. to do these things he will have to be a good spot up shooter. he is a good shooter, but I think he is so keen on taking the ball to the basket every time he forgets about that part of his game.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:21pm #338137

severinParticipantMoute is awesome.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:23pm #338140

butidonthavemoneySalmons/Bell – Delfino/Mbah a Moute were so successful last season. Why blow it up now?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:23pm #338138

memphisgriz731ParticipantMy boy CDR is a scoring monster in the making. i watched this guy play probably 50 college games in person and he just has this way of scoring. no matter what happens he can find a way to put the backetball in the hoop

severinParticipantI see jennings game as taylor made for the pick and roll. he is fast, quick off the dribble, can shoot, is learning to go either way and is a willing passer. a guy like Dirk/West/Murphy/Aldrige would fit well.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:27pm #338143

apb540ParticipantI feel yea on both posts. The Bucks are building an awesome young team and I am looking forward to seeing if they can take that franchise back to the Ray Allen days. They need to avoid bad contracts thou like Magette or they are going to end up just like the Sixers with AI.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:32pm #338147

MagikKnickParticipant - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:33pm #338149

butidonthavemoneyI’m starting to get worried.
They need to keep Ridnour and Salmons. They both bring important things to the team.
I think they also need to continue to start Carlos Delfino, and just bring Maggette and CDR in off the bench.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:34pm #338152

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantNow the Nets hold picks 3, 27, 31 and 44.
Looking to retool in this deep Draft I see.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 5:40pm #338161
BucksRUSParticipantThey may go with Sanders or Henry at 15. The Bucks will need a shooter at SG, since CDR and Mags are not perimeter shooters. The Bucks are also talking to Miami about getting pick #18. So they could end up with Sanders and Anderson/Henry if that happens.

bucksfan74ParticipantEspecially now that they have CDR, CM, AND Redd…. but I’m sure that Redd won’t play another game as a Buck.
And they’ve made it clear that they want Ridnour back…
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 6:25pm #338219
parkerjParticipantredd’s expiring contract AND 15 for iggy and brand???????? brand is one of the worst contracts in the nba, and iggy’s not worth his contract…you don’t give up 2 assets for that…that’s awful…i woudln’t do that deal without 15 in it
as for this trade, i’m hearing it may be a 2011 second rounder…
either way, i love it…they swapped jodie meeks for pick 37, and are getting CDR for either 44 or a second rounder in a weaker draft? that’s ridiculous
also, butidonthavemoney–bell sucked, he never played…salmons is the only loss…and if he’s proven anything about his consistency, it’s that he’s consistently really good after being traded in a contract year, and average after that
my DREAM would be to bring back Ray Ray and sign wesley matthews, but i’d imagine the jazz would match the MLE minus ray allen’s contract
