marcusfizer21ParticipantIn the closing minutes of regulation of Game 6 on Tuesday, a significant portion of the home crowd left American Airlines Arena early, missing the Heat’s dramatic 103-100 overtime comeback.
Bosh chastised the fans who headed for the exits during a media session on Wednesday.
“For all those guys [fans] who left, make sure they don’t come to Game 7,” he said. “We only want the guys who want to stay. … You never give up. People gave up on us. They can stay where they are and watch the game at home.”
A portion of those who left attempted to get back into the building, but were denied access by security officials, who enforced the arena’s no reentry policy.
“You can’t get let back in after you leave,” Bosh said. “I know that. Hell, I’ve been to games. You can’t leave a game and then come back. It doesn’t make any sense. You left. It’s not punishment, that’s protocol.”
Miami made up a five-point deficit in the last 28 seconds of regulation thanks to three-pointers from LeBron James and Ray Allen. Afterward, James called Game 6 “by far the best game” that he has ever been a part of during his 10-year career.
The Heat and Spurs, deadlocked at three games apiece, will play the decisive Game 7 on Thursday. The Finals has gone to seven games in only two of the previous 18 years: 2010 (Lakers and Celtics) and 2005 (Spurs and Pistons).
Bosh, an eight-time All-Star, is seeking his second title. He finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds in Game 6 and made a number of crucial defensive plays down the stretch.
During the Eastern Conference finals, Pacers radio broadcaster Mark Boyle took some shots at Heat fans who left early during Indiana’s Game 2 victory.

No, those fans aren’t paying for Bosh. They are paying for LeBron James.

hoopscopParticipantEverybody who has been in such a game knows how it hurts watching the other team celebrating the ultimate win on your home court. Call it how you want but not only the game was lost, but it was not the 5 points 20 sec to go, no it was the total selfinducing hurt going from +3 and the ball, letting Wade shooting senseless jumper, Chalmers to and Lebrons to. Yes the fans should support their team whatever the situation, but fleeing the scene of crime was in my eyes a sign of affection and deep sorrow.

ConezdParticipantis known to have a terrible fan base. Outside of maybe their college football team, they are notorious for having unfaithful fans. Mostly due to the fact that the majority of the population is from other states and countries. They just dont care that much about sports. The dolphins stadium is trash, and the Marlins made their move full time there with a new stadium and better players and did everything right to try to get more fans to care and they just dont. The only reason the Heat get as many people coming to their games as they do is because they are the “thing” to do and see down there right now. But they still dont care about the team. If/when LeBron leaves, they will go back to barely filling that arena.

NbanflguyParticipantI agree with the Miami fans sucking, but I couldn’t help but laugh at you saying the Marlins did everything right. They did a fire sale and traded all of their good players right after getting the new stadium. Now they are one of the worst teams in the league with only 1 notable player.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI don’t care how bad it is, you stay and watch the game and hope your team comes back.
(Especially if you spent thousands of dollars on those tickets)

machu46ParticipantI know that Miami’s fair weather fans are pathetic, but they have fans like this at every game. They left with like 30 seconds left to beat traffic like fans do literally everywhere. It’s just like when that one woman flipped Noah the bird. Yeah, it’s distasteful, but you see that everywhere; not just in Miami.
