mixtape2003ParticipantA little bit of a head scratcher for me cause they already have a bunch of young forwards on their roster, unless they see him as a backup center which is pretty pricey at 8 mil for a rebuilding team. So with the addtion of Gordon also, is Harkless, Nicholson or O’Quinn on the move?

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantaww this makes me sick to my stomach, it looked like we were finally going to have some albatross salaries off our hands and now we sign another. Even worse when you consider that we weren’t willing to pony up the same kind of money to keep Ryan Anderson.

Chilbert arenasParticipantI really thought he was going to end up with Warriors. Magic needed spacing and he certainly provides that. In hindsight Anderson hasn’t been able to stay healthy. Frye and Gordon seem to compliment eachother by covering for eachothers deficiencies.

CoachWorthyParticipantHe is a helleva shooter and there is a premuim for shooters in the NBA. Vucevic has some off and on injuries and Frye can play 4 or 5.
Orlando’s starting guards can’t shoot, that’s why this makes since but this is going to be a hard deal to trade in three years. They drafted Oladipo and Elfrid Payton in back to back drafts and I can’t of a backcourt that will shoot worse next year outside of Philly. Dipo shot 41 from the field and 32 from 3. Payton is certain not to shot 32% from 3. If he cracks 28% from 3 this year.
Frye also missed a season with a heart condition, same for Jeff Green and they both seem okay, but 8 million a season is a high price.

chrispaulwallParticipantGettin guala. I figure they have to sign a huge deal though cause most of their guys are on rookie deals and they have to hit the minimum. Not that bad of a deal IMO. 4 years for a relatively older player is a bit much though. They should be okay, they won’t be a top seed in the east for another 3-4 years anyway.

Magic JordanParticipantThere are other ways hit the salary floor. I am sure the Lakers would have attached a 2nd rounder to Nash which would have done the trick without the long term liability. First minor mistake in an otherwise stellar rebuild for the Magic.

dremill24Participantthat’s a large chunk of change for a guy who will be retired before they’re any good. Does this make him their highest paid player? I suppose he cm provide a veteran presence while filling a need but to tie up that much salary in a role player on a team going nowhere is a bit puzzling
