Dang, never would have thought andre drummond would have a longer wingspan than Davis. Also Beal measured taller than I thought he would

Andre Drummond is a big boy , 6’11+ , 7’6+ wingspan , though 279lbs which is not as thin as he was reported to be as of a week ago.  7.5% body fat was unexpected , meaning the weight he is carrying is good weight , better than I expected.

Way too many guys are where the new Roburt Sallie’s to add 1.5-2 inches to their height when they put on shoes.

Everybody loves Draymond Green and most people love Jae Crowder, but they aren’t tall. It is okay. Andre Drummond adding two inches is not going to make a free throw go in.

    What a hell

    Quincy Miller, Standing reach 9.1

    Anthony davis  9.0

    Andre Drummond 9.1.75

Quincy looks so much smaller but standing reach is outstanding.

And if Royce White can cut down the body fat % , that dude is damn impressive physically.  Legit 6’8 260(maybe get down to 245) , 7’0 wingspan , the biggest hands in the whole combine , and that skill set.  He won’t last till that 20-30 range likely 12-20.

HOLY DRUMMOND. Definitely helped himself here. I saw 278 lbs. and I got a little worried but as continued I see a 7’6.25" wingspan and then 7.5% body fat. Are you kidding me?

Dang, Drummond looks impressive on paper.

That also means if he lost 20 lbs he was playing the season at around 15% body fat.

Terrance Jones at 252 and 7% body fat is pretty beastly too.  He looked strong in drills yesterday, but I thought he was carrying more fat.

Robinson at 244 lbs and 5% body fat is pretty freakish.  If he does strength testing, I think it’s between him and Royce White for the strongest guy at the combine.

Nah i dont think Robinson will be the strongest guy, got way to long arms just like drummond. A small guy build like a tank is going to take the benchpress crown =)

Some say measurements dont mean anything, and like BTPH said ”an extra inch wont make you hit a free throw”..But it does help determine how certain players sizes and type of game will translate and help certain undersized players know what position a guy will or should play at the next level..Allen Iverson’s extra wingspan give teams confidence that he could guard taller guards….Blake Griffin a guy some will say is a top 10 player, but he doesnt have a impressive wingspan..So it all comes down to how hard a guy works and how motivated a player wants to get better..

Love how rivers is measuring in at almost legit two size thats great for his stock =)

Ezil at 264 and with just 5.5 % body fat is beastly,

Perry Jones is amost durantish long,

I think he can be a Marshon Brooks type offensive player in the NBA. I can see him getting to the early 20s and a lock for the first round

Yeah, it’s height and weight aren’t going to make someones skillset better, but in the basketball world a lot of these guys haven’t been officially measured since high school as a lot of colleges fabricate heights to help their players gain attention and such.

It’s interesting, but it’s not make or break.  Standing reach and max reach, to me, are more important, especially with both forwards and centers.

Yes, but the league measures people in their socks for a reason. They aren’t fooling anybody by doing whatever they are doing to get a little bump. Information is gathered for a reason, and I am not dismissing the reasoning behind putting guys on scales and everything else that goes into the process, but I don’t think there is a single front office that looks at someone who is two inches taller in shoes than in socks and come away more favorably about his size as a result. Most of these guys are former players, guys who are between 6′ 2" and I think Kupchak is the tallest GM at 6′ 9." They know who is big by NBA standards and who is not. If Larry Bird is able to look down at Draymond Green’s head, I don’t think he is going to care that he measured out at 6′ 7.5" in shoes. He might still like him as a player, most people do, but his measured height will have nothing to do with it.

What do you guys think of Austin Rivers now? He measured just as well as any other SG in the combine, but brings the ability to play a little point as well (which he mentioned in his interveiw). I don’t see him making it out of the lottery now

Quincy Miller is going to be the steal of the draft and with these measurements, T Robinson should go 2.

Underwhelmind results for Austin rivers, because wingspan and standing reach are a lot mroe important than height.

Zeller with an 8’8 standing reach?

Drummond supposedly lost 22 lbs, down to 279? His people are either lying to give off the impression that he’s a hard worker or he completely let himself go after the season was over and blew up in weight.

What surprises me a little are Perry Jones being the tallest player at the combine..And  Kyle O’Quinn having 1 of the best outstanding reaches..He’s actually about 6’9 so that’s going to help him…I still dont like Robinson at number 2,top 5 or 10 yeah, but not top 3…..I’d rather have Terrance Jones or take a gamble on Perry Jones then him..

When the all rookie teams are announced next year..People will be wondering why certain guys went as low in the draft as they did…Going to the right team will help their success…

Is not someone who can take over point and run a team…

That question seems to be asked every day on this board, despite Rivers never showing he could be an PG in High School or at Duke. He is a shoot first chucker, not someone you want running the show.

No, he wasn’t, they measured at 6’11 and 7’1 in shoes respectively.

I think, that Doron Lamb could have helped himself, he measured at 6’4.75 in shoes, which is 6’5 and it’s great size for a player that is supposed to be a combo guard.

If Quincy Miller shows the ability we all know he has, with those measurements he could cement himself as a first rounder. I think he’s fringe right now. Also I think Sullinger’s meaurements were perfect for him. Didn’t help or hurt, he almost measured the same exact things as Carlos Boozer.

Miles Plumlee is helping himself every day. His workouts have been good so far and his measurements were great.

^^Jeff Goodman ‏@GoodmanCBS Quincy Miller should have stayed in school. Most NBA guys I have spoken to agree with me. Could easily be a second-rounder.

Everyone knew he had good measurements. People have been questioning his athleticism and injury hitory.

the three people I liked all measured good on Rivers, Robinson and White.

I think Rivers can be a PG if people consider Russel Westbrook a PG. That guy is chuck city. And to quote Steven A Smith and the other guy, Rivers had to shoot cuz the talent on Duke really wasnt on par with past Duke teams. the whole he didnt make anyone better at Duke is over rated. The team won 27 games. Thats 80% of their games won. Thats making the whole team better

I once said Royce White should be picked by GS and people were saying Im crazy cuz he cant play defense. So once the combine happens he now can play defense and people saying he a lottery pick. The only thing he cant do is shoot and you can teach that

Even though his shot was broken, I still think he improved his draft stock by measuring 6’6"
