The8thDeadlySinParticipantButler has been contacted by many teams showing intrist in him.. One is not the Mavs. Coming off an injury like he had usually means little intrist for an older player but not Butler…
Teams looking at him:
Spurs
Heat
Lakers
Clippers
Nets
Bulls
Where does he fit best??

aamir543ParticipantThe Mavs are his best fit, but if not, I think he can fit right in on the Bulls. As long as he can defend the two spot, than he’ll be fine, and I believe he’ll be able to do that, and help Rose shoulder the load on offense.

PlatypusParticipantSpurs: He can start at the time until the rookie gets use to the system (expecting Jefferson to be cut). If Jefferson isn’t cut he can start at the 2 for ginobili
Bulls: Can start at the 2, but can his body handle all the minutes he’d get?
Nets: same as Bulls, but at the 3
Clippers: can compete with aminu for minutes, if he loses he’s a good bench man, if he starts he wont have to play too many minutes
Heat: wouldn’t get that much time, he’d be a back up to James/Wade
Lakers: would be Kobe’s back up. He’ll get a lot of minutes there….

M-DYMESParticipant"Heat: wouldn’t get that much time, he’d be a back up to James/Wade"
UNLESS…
They would opt to run LBJ as the full-time PG and play Butler at SF.
James/Wade/Butler/Bosh/(Dalembert???)
That would be a hell of a lineup.

Hoops MaestroParticipantWhy would he take the 5-million MLE from Miami, when he could get 8 or 9 million somewhere else? It’s not like he needs a ring to cement his non-existent legacy or something.

Da1potParticipantHe will still be an effective player I think, though he might need to change his game up a little bit. I’ve always liked him, but he takes a lot of bad shots IMO…. Any chance the Heat use the amnesty clause on Miller and then sign Butler for the MLE instead?

Hoops MaestroParticipantThe Lakers could use him, especially if they trade Odom as part of a deal to get Dwight Howard, which is the big talk radio subject out here. Some Laker fans would rather keep Bynum, for some unknown reason.
