The Splash DocParticipantCarmelo and Chicago is making to much sense when I look at it. I came up with a Chicago/Denver trade and then another move to give Chicago another inside defensive presence
Chicago gets- Carmelo Anthony-JR Smith-Chris Andersen
Denver gets- Joakim Noah-Taj Gibson-Luol Deng-James Johnson and 1st Round Draft Pick
then Chicago can go after Earl Barron who hasnt been picked up yet and is 7 feet tall and a beast on the boards and blocks a lot of shots.
Noah is key component but would you rather have Noah/Deng/Gibson or Anthony/Smith/Andersen/Barron
Chicago Depth Chart
Barron/Thomas/Asik
Boozer/Andersen
Anthony/Korver
Bogans/Smith/Brewer
Rose/Watson
thwy would be top 4 in the East easily

RUDEBOY_ParticipantThats the hangup..Chicago just signed Noah to that contract..Which makes it alot harder to include him in the deal..But if the Bulls can get Melo..it gives them that go to scorer they lack in the closing minutes of a game…

bkb77ParticipantBulls wont give up noah so wo him they really dont have any other pieces to trade with to get melo. Also I think melo has made it pretty clear when he choose not to sign a contract with the nets to complete that trade was on the table, that he want to go to Knicks. In the end its starting to look like that will be the place he ends up,

TyroberParticipantIsnt Noahs contract a poison pill now anyway? The bulls signed him to a 60 millionaire contract because they know exactly what hes worth. They got a great center 29 other teams would love to have on their team. Noah isnt going anywhere. The nuggets need to realize they are getting a package of Loul Deng, Taj Gibson, and a few picks or either Eddy Curry, Wilson Chanlder, Anthony Randolph, and some picks. The nuggets are not going to come out winners in ANY trade when they lose a superstar

NYK2010ParticipantMello to the Bulls that won’t happen via trade.

NYCrealdealParticipantsimple as that idk how some one said taj gibson and deng would get the deal done in the other thread but the best trade option for denver is porlly portland but melo has ALL the leverage if he wants to risk not getting a new contract with the new cba
if hes confident than no team will want him unless they know hes siging with them

mj23mj23besteverParticipantthe bulls have made it very clear all along they wont trade noah i think the clippers deal has been the best with kaman as the centerpiece melo wont go there imagine melo and griff as the forwards and i know people say d jordan isnt ready but imo hes servicable enough with melo and griff as your forwards

Moon RiverParticipantCorrect me if I am wrong, but since Noah just signed, he cannot be traded until December 15th? The Bulls brass LOVES Noah and if they would have been willing to include him, this deal would be done already. Denver has to decide if they can live with this deal without including Noah. If so, it is a no-brainer for Chicago. The heat that Carmelo is putting on Denver to move him yesterday is not helping Chicago’s chances of landing Melo. Otherwise- I agree with YS- Carmelo in Chicago does make sense.

midwestbbscoutParticipantit can get done without Noah….it just depends on if Denver is higher on Deng and guys like Taj Gibson/JimJohn/and some throw in contracts and draft picks than Gallinari/Chandler/Curry’s contract…..one thing the Bulls can offer is picks….they have a few firsts stocked up the next few years….
