Disappointing news, wishing Caris a speedy and full recovery. It is the same foot he had surgery on May of last year. Guess it happened right at the end of Michigan’s win over Northwestern, he fell to the ground and grabbed his foot at the end of the game. Expecting a 12-week recovery and rehabilitation.

He was averaging 14.9 ppg, 4.9 rpg and 3.7 apg in 35.8 mpg on an 11-7 Michigan team. Solid numbers, though slightly below what was expected with LeVert firmly at the teams helm. He was a great story, kid who entered Michigan at 6-5/165 and almost completely off the radar. Now measures in at 6’7/200, plus was a valuable role player for Michigan’s 2013 Finals team and a huge factor during the Elite 8 team last season.

Seems like Caris now has a decision as to whether to enter or come back for his senior season. It seemed like he was almost a lock to enter, but the article makes it seem like he is thinking about trying to come back next season. Definitely opens up a discussion as to how this affects the current draft and his draft range if he does enter this season.

if everything goes as planned,he should be ready to participate in workouts in june…he’s 1 of those players that will keep getting better…a versatile kid that lead them in just about every stat… and at 6’6 he also did a good job of playing the point..teams are always looking for those big point guards…

alot of sites had him in the top 10..i felt he was more like mid to late 1st rounder…

I really don’t think he’s a PG. He played that out of necessity. I think he’s a 2 with decent players. I think he’s easily a top 10 guy and that’d be more obvious if Michigan gave him any help this year.

I think he should probably come back to michigan next year. I don’t think he has shown enough this season to be a guaranteed first rounder at this point and the fact that he has had surgery on the same foot twice might give him a medical red flag to a lot of teams.
