Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantDepends, is your friend strong? If he’s stronger then her then yes. Men have more explosiveness then females. Yes there are a few exceptions. When I say this, my sister tells me, why don’t you fight a female cage fighter? And then I tell her, why doesn’t a female cage fighter fight a male cage fighter? Same level right?

M-DYMESParticipantKeep in mind women are playing with a women’s ball. That makes the game a whole lot easier if that is what you are used to.

WildDudeParticipantI think Brittany Griner is more physically imposing than Candence Parker even though Candence is much more skilled as a basketball player I say Brittany has a better shot at playing against men…

Tongue-Out-Like-23Participantonly because Brittney Griner IS a man.

Cusemen727Participant10 out of 10 times the man beats the woman. The way I see it is if that man was a female with the exact same attributes he had, he would be a 1st team all american every year in womens college bball

HandDownManDown13ParticipantI disagree with alot of you. Yeah womens bball isn’t the same game as mens but let’s not cut Candace Parker short.
I think that a talented guy could beat a lot of girl ballers. Alot of the girls who can get away with being 5’6″ shooters wouldn’t be able go hang with guys.
Here’s the thing about candace Parker though. She’s built like a dude. She’s 6’4″ and she can get up and dunk. She’s got a great skill set too, similar to her brothers, Anthony who’s an NBA player. The big difference between them is size and athleticism.
However she is still athletic by normal standards and also pretty tall.
She’s not a normal womens bball player, keep that in mind. For most guys she’d win a game of one on one. I’m probably gonna get flak for this, but you can’t underestimate her. Also, I know she looks slow on film but trust me, she’s not. If you saw film of yourself you’d be like “damn am I really that slow?”.
Everyone looks slower on film

M-DYMESParticipantDamn right that Brittany Griner chick is a man. You hear her voice too? She sounds like a man, looks like a man, balls like a man, I def. question her sexuality. Juwana Mann?

canesboy6Participantyeah, 6’4 isn’t to be taken lightly. She would ball ALLL over the average guy is what I’m saying. She could hold her own in mens college ball I think, not at the highest level. In a small conference, she could be a SF and maybe be a little slow and a little soft, but I don’t think she is any more disadvantaged than a really unathletic white guy.
She’s pretty too. What’s she doin with Sheldon Williams? If the government had half a mind about thier basketball future, she would squirt out like 10 of Lebron’s babies.

HROT88ParticipantThe average D3 player would be an all american in the womens game.

kmp07sParticipantShe would beat an average player, but I think a decent HS team (with atleast one scholarship level player) could beat a WNBA team. I mean some of the most dominant female players are just 6’4″ girls with decent skills, If you have one big kid whose 6’6″ and strong he’d be able to physically dominate every girl on the court.

Bvilleballer21ParticipantI strongly disagree with that statement above. I play for my high school and oftentimes we would scrimmage the girls team, who has a tremendous freshman point who is already being recruited by D1 schools. She takes many of our freshman to the hole consistently. I think the average high school mens team would get beaten by even UCONN’s womens team.

JoeWolf1I read an article years ago in Sports Illustrated about the Tennessee womens program having scrimmages against male students who were of the caliber of players that played high school ball but weren’t good enough to make the jump to college. Its a good article regardless and very interesting, I also think it provides insight into gauging men’s and women’s players against each other.
I found it online if any of you guys wanted to give it a read.
