I May Be WrongParticipantHUGE WIN TONITE! not the prettiest game (matter of fact, it was borderline RuPaul out there tonite) but a win is a win. Held the Spurs to 25 in the second half = impressive!

I May Be WrongParticipantnot much offensively but played hard for the limited time he had. The person who stole the show was JRUE! 27 points and shot the ball with confidence tonight, which he goes in and out some times but not tonite. Iggy played great D on Manu down the stretch, although the one play may have been a foul? But I guess the refs let them play a little tonight

midwestbbscoutParticipantpeople keep saying in Chicago that its really important for the Bulls to get the 2 seed so they don’t have to play the Knicks…..me personally, I’d rather have the Knicks than the Sixers if they don’t have Carmelo…..the only reason I want the 2 is for home court in the second round against Miami or Boston….

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe Sixers will be this years Bucks …they will scare the hell out of any top 4 team in the 1st round…they are playing good team ball…I really want them to trade Lou Williams, Nocioni and a future 1st rounder for a Starting center(Kaman,Perkins,Gortat,Biedrins,Chandler)…Im open to trading Lou, Speights and Thad for Marc Gasol or Demarcus Cousins…

I May Be WrongParticipantthey better racking up as many easy wins as possible because I think their remaining schedule has Orlando a few times, Miami a couple of times, the Celts, and the Hawks a couple of times as well. I think Miami will slowly end up as #1 and Boston number #2 but after that, spots 3-5 are all open to the Bulls, Magic or Hawks. Luckily for the Bulls, they are guaranteed at least the 4th spot due to that weak Central division but if they have the 4th spot, they’ll most likely face the Hawks which might be a little easier than the Knicks or Sixers IMO. they match way better to the Hawks.
@Scarecrow, I know dude. I would love a legit big man to make ourselves more of a threat. I’ve the Kaman idea you;ve purposed but at this point, I’d take ANYONE! Spieghts is a defensive liability AGAIN this year. Elton has been healthy and consistent and I like him at the for us. It’s Spencer Hawes thats getting me. Some nights, he looks promising, but take last night for example, Tim Duncan (with his old knees) was driving past Hawes and getting easy buckets. Any solid center would make us a bigger threat because I don’t think we’ll get one in the draft or free agency. I would actually take Troy Murphy at this point too because at least he rebounds well and can stretch the floor.
King wont trade DeMarcus for that (I wish though). Marc Gasol is actually interesting though but I don’t think trading away that much would be good for us. Maybe just Lou, Speights, and Kapono if they want cap space. Thad Young has been superb for us IMO

apb540ParticipantYea, I’m not giving him up for nothing. I think Thad is the type of player that you only want to trade if you were doing a deal for a star like Melo. Kaman is looking to be the player that could put the Sixers over the hump and allow us to compete with any team in the league. Brings defense, rebounding, and shot blocking and the Sixers need C who does all 3.

I May Be WrongParticipantbut it’s def. a good time to be a Sixers fan again. And while the record may not show it, I think Coach Collins deserves some love for Coach of the Year. Won’t say he’ll win it (probably going to be Sploestra most likely) but this is essentially the same team as last season and here they are playing excellent ball. Collins is getting them to work like a team and I absolutely love it. Hopefully, he gets a couple of votes here and there if they continue to play like this til the end

dmo21ParticipantCould the Sixers get Haywood from Dallas if they offered Nocioni, Speights, and Battie. Haywood is old and has a big contract, but that fits with Brand and Iggy lol. Haywood would definitely add defense and rebounding at the center position and Hawes would be his backup. Dallas gets Nocioni who can fill in at small forward where they have a void and can play backup to Dirk to so Cardinal doesn’t have to play lol. Speights and Battie also add some length as backup centers to Chandler, and Speights actually brings some youth to an old team. Dallas also loses Haywood’s large contract that he wasn’t really living up to either. It can be good or bad for either team, just matters how you look at it lol.
