Even though the CAV’S have been looking great the past few weeks, is this fool’s gold? Or are they firmly digging there feet into the ground and making a statement?  A just above .500 record had the sports world questioning weather “Father Time” was on The Kings heels to them  being on the hunt for a new Head coach.  It seemed that LeBron was so frustrated that he needed Rehab and vacation time that turned into a GM/Recruiting trip. “The King” goes away the team falls on a 1-9 stretch, Kyrie struggling with waiters and Love being unhappy with his roll. Things looked far from the promising pre-season antics that had the sports world and especially the world of Cleveland on a natural high.

Dare I say quietly the CAV’S and GM LeBron James began to make moves, a 3 team traded to move waiters and bring JR. Smith and IMAN Shrumpert feeling wing shooting and wing defense.  Also with a questionable move being thirsty for a big man presents let go two Draft picks to acquiring Timofey Mozgov. It seemed that only one thing is missing and that was “THE KING” himself. LeBron makes it back and the CAV’S whip off  7 in row with keys wins  against the Clippers, Bulls and OKC, all being somewhat dominating while doing so. It seems that winning is the only answer to the questions. But like always theirs debris such as rumors that LeBron is still targeting Mr. Savior himself Ray Allen, what do you think about that move? Can u have enough shooters?  Is Love happy? Can he fit into the team system? Does he prefer to get his numbers in the stat column vs. the win column? Is he going to man up and play big from the inside out? It seems that Love maybe after all like bosh and key pieces to the CAV’S dominating or just being able to put up a good fight. To me it seems that LeBron is on his way to his 5th Eastern Conference title in a row. It want be easy by no means. But it’s wide on for now, so it should be a great 2nd half to the season.

I mean, they look better with Mozgov, but I think they are riding a high right now and they’ll come back to a more stable position. Love still looks awkward and out of place and JR Smith is still a horrible shooter; although his antics have toned down quiet a bit which is good.

They’re definately going to the playoffs, but I just dont see them getting past a team like Washington, Toronto or Atlanta.

If the playoffs started today, they would play the Bulls. I would give them a slight edge in that because the Bulls are the most frustrating and inconsitent team in the NBA right now. After that, I don’t think they have a chance to go any further.  Playoffs are all about defense and they just dont have it.

So you believe that the CAV’S a Lebron James lead team is going home in the second round? The only team I can really see the Cavs losing 4 times to is Washington, but when u have a LeBron James anything is possible. Its not like last year when he didn’t have a player to match his intensity. Kyrie can go hand and hand with LeBron when it comes to scoring. LeBron only had that for his first year in Miami. If they can stay healthy to me Its hard to see a team beating them 4 times. As for JR. I was very critical of him always have been because he has the potential to be a nice size part of a championship team. He could maybe have been a young ray allen. like “he said the city was in his way. But like I said it should be great to watch.

“The only team I can really see the Cavs losing 4 times to is Washington” What? To me of the four teams ahead of the cavs right now,Washington is the worst of the four. They just lost to Toronto at home, they’ve now lost to each of the 4 other best teams in the east, including 3 at home. At some point people will need to watch the Hawks play.

Losing to Toronto makes them (Washington) a worst team? aren’t they in the top of the field? You really believe that in April there will be 4 teams better than the CAV’S? So you have basically said that the Hawks and the Bulls are to meet in the Eastern Conference Championship? You believe that a LeBron, that has been to eastern conference championship 4 years straight are going to be one and done?

Again:just watch the hawks play and you’ll understand. First from the games that I have seen and I’ve seen about 10 or 15 of them, they’re more often than not the team that finishes strong. As for the otpion, they’re simple:the open man. Every player on this teams can hit a shot, and they’re going to move the ball until they ave the best shot they can. And if you REALLY wqant a set play you have:PnR Jeff Teague with Millsap or Horford,Millsap taking his usually slower opponent of the dribble,Hordford in the post,a catch and shoot from Korver, and if that doesn’t work, you can be sure Carroll will be at the perfect place to wait for the ball,or cut hard to the basket. Yeah actually:team basketball you know.

I understand your concept and the “team” is a great concept. That concept wins the championship every single year. But what I am trying to say is that, ta concept has to fit the personal. Yes they are playing great team ball. But in they playoffs its totally different. They style of play is different, the roster get hacked and you play teams at least 4 times. Over history almost every team has had at least 2 superstars on them. Mean someone that you know cant be stopped. That not matter what you do they can enforce there well on you. There are a handful of teams that didn’t have that. I am think the 2003 pistons with Billups, rep, and those boys, when they beat a Lakers team that had Kobe, Shaq, Karl Malone, Glenn Rice, GP. Then I am think maybe those Houston teams that had Hakim from those years Jordan retired. Hakim was that dominate those years. And the Dallas team that beat the Heat. Dirk was on another level that series. I mean I would say the Spurs but I mean when you have Parker, Duncan, Manu the a young superstar coming in Kawhi then u add to that maybe the 3rd or 4th best coach on NBA history. My point is that when your in the playoffs and your playing teams 4 to 7 times and they know everything your going to do and it gets to the point that you just have to have that player were it doesn’t matter what defense you call it doesn’t matter who’s in game they cant be stopped. Every NBA championship team has had that and I don’t see the hawks having that player. Maybe that player shows themselves when its time but I don’t see that person on that team. The Cav’s have that player and that player oozes team basketball. That’s the way he wants to win is with a team. He made the most unselfish superstar ever. And he can take over when ever he wants. I just saying. ATL is do respect for what they have done this far. But to say there the best team in the NBA I cant give them that just because there record is the best. Do that have a finals built basketball roster. I don’t believe they do. but I willing to be proven wrong.

I got your point dude. I’mp just saying that the Hawks are some special specimen, that,if you haven’t watched them play, you just can’t understand. When you’re rooting for the opposing team,it just looks like your team can’t play against them. I’ve rarely seen that.

     Cavs look dangerous.

I would try to make Kevin Love the 2nd option.

i would put LeBron/Love in pick and rolls/pick and pops, with Kyrie spotting up for a 3, Shawn Marion posting up on the low blocks, and Mozgov somewhere along the baseline for dunks or put backs.

I agree with u some what. but I don’t think that Love should be the 2nd option all the time. Kyrie can do way to much to just spot up. They all should have turns, with seatrain situations. but Love can do enough to be the second option. He’s a great rebounder, LeBron and Kyrie flourish from the outlets. I believe that have enough spot up shooters. Marion is a garbage man, I think he’s going to get what’s hanging around the rims from rebounds and turnovers. Love basically has the same roll that bosh did, I think when the playoff start and the game slows down your wish will come true. I just think that Love just needs to stay ready. his time will come for big shots and he must be ready. Mozgov is going to develop very well with LeBron. I think his jumper will get better and better along with his rim protection. He’s probably going to pick and roll with LeBron just as much a Love because Love can spot up as well.

I think people just hate LeBron so much now that they come up with these ridiculous posts. I dislike LeBron. Truely, I’m one of those blindly arrogant fans who just does not enjoy anything about the guy. But even I’m not arrogant enough to say that a team with LeBron James, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Irving is fools gold. LeBron has been to the last 4 championship games, 5 in his career, and is one of the hardest players to guard, and one of the hardest players to score on. Kyrie, in my humblest opinion, is a mini-Kobe in the fact that they both can score at will, and can get to what ever spot on the court that they need to. I just don’t see how those two pieces can be considered fools gold.

I think the Cavs have one of the best supporting role players in the league as well, and in the ployoffs they have the depth to go toe to toe with anyone. For all the burn he gets, I know I’m not the only one who goes "Oh sh*t" when JR Smith comes out and swishes a three against my team. He has the ability to just take a game over for a bit, and in the playoffs that’s just deadly. Just look what he did the other day against Chicago.

I think the real question here is, who in the East besides the Cav’s aren’t fools gold? Right now every team is vulnerable, but you have to give the Cavs the benifit of the doubt.
