TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantThis is what happens when you let Kobe Bryant raise your kids.
In a snippet from Bynum’s interview with Mike Tirico they touch on a few topics.
Like him elbowing Berea? His answer was he needs to mature and its a process. My answer is Kobe slapped guys in the face, then told me my role was bulldog and he would again advocate trading me if I didn’t "toughen up". Kobe in the media said more than a few times last season that we can’t let guys come down the lane and get away with it, in direct reference to Bynum. Bynum also watched Derek Fisher Hines Ward Blake Griffin in the back along with a couple other nonbasketball cheap shots from Fisher.
What about shooting 3’s. His answer was I have to expand my game, I can make any shot on the court. I made the first one this year. "If I listen to someone that doesn’t play basketball, I will never get better"….how can I expand my game ..then they show a picture of Mike Brown sitting on the bench. Maybe it was a coincidence they showed Brown, but Kobe more than a few times in the media made requests that his next coach should be a former player, primarily Brian Shaw. Now Bynum wants the same. Bynum, like Kobe, can take or make any shot on the court even if a coach told you point blak dont do it.
I hope Drummond, PJ3, TJ have good role models on the teams that take them.

Anton123ParticipantYes and now that Bynum is doing it, Kobe is laughing and telling the media he sees a little bit of himself in Bynum.
If Bynum was on the Spurs nobody would ever tolerate this kind of thing

SupParticipantYou’re welcome!

TomShoeParticipantIf anyone, the main nurturer on the team is Pau. I can only imagine what Kobe gets to do to both Darius Morris and Andrew Goudelock. *shudder*

If Bynum were on the Spurs, none of this would have ever happened.

sheltwon3ParticipantElbowing Barea was uncalled for but Bynum needed to start playing touch and I doubt Kobe is hurting him when he is arguable the best offensive Center right now and behind only Howard which may be up in the air next year. Also you must forget how Spurs got away with major hacks against the Suns all the time in the playoffs. Don’t let their good guy image fool you. Also Kevin Love shoots 3’s and works inside. Why can’t Bynum play that role. Is that role only limited to Kevin Love?

llperezbynum took a three and got benched for it. He has committed some dumb fouls and has been ejected and suspended for most of them. Hes a bit of a knucklehead but i think things are getting overblown. Much ado about nothing

IndianaBasketballParticipantI think Kobe is helping Bynum.
Ever since Kobe went into Bynum with the game on the line versus the Celtics, I think Bynum’s confidence has gone through the roof.
During an interview, Bynum mentioned that Kobe has embraced him and they’ve had a better relationship than previous years. He said that Kobe has even told him some of his moves and worked with him on his footwork, jabs, etc.
Mentally wise, I think Kobe is rubbing off on him too. Bynum is playing with more killer.
Bynum is still young. He’s made some poor decisions lately, but I think it’d be unfair to question his overall maturity since he’s been living a grown man’s life since 17 years old.

sheltwon3ParticipantThe thing is when he finally matures and goes throught his prime years at 27 to possibly 31. Those years will be crazy. Also he will not have to worry about the lockout condensed year next season. I am anxious to see who he does in the playoffs. The Lakers look like they are clicking at the right time. They are beating good teams without Kobe. If Kobe comes back and does not screw up the chemistry which I doubt he will, They will be the team to beat in the West. OKC rely a lot of Durant and Westbrook. In the playoffs, someone else will have to step up or they will lose.
