According to several reports Rudy Gay has verbally agreed to a new 5 year 82 million dollar deal to remain with the Grizzlies…After meeting with G.M Chris Wallace owner Micheal Heisley thought it would be better to gave Gay an offer instead of waiting for teams to make offers..Gay has canceled several planned meetings with teams that were interested in him…

Signing Gay to a max deal is interesting becuz Randolph & Gasol will be going into the final year of their deals..Can they afford to keep Gay,Zach,Mayo & Gasol?

I don’t think they want to keep Zach after his contract is over..

This contract is really going to restrict Memphis as they try to move forward. If those numbers are correct, that’s like 16 million per year for a guy who has never even been an all-star. That’s insane!!

At least you can’t call Memphis cheap-o’s anymore…or at least for now. They smell the Playoffs after Last Season & now they want to taste it..Hopefully OJ Mayo’s transition to Point Guard works out

I couldn’t envision Rudy Gay playing anywhere else, but as far as the other players you mentioned goes, I think they will trade Randolph eventually, and keep Gasol. OJ Mayo is interesting to me however…I can really see him going to LA after KOBE hangs it up, I have read it too many places. LA rarely is without superstar players due to the money they are able to spend.

Mayo loves the spotlight of LA, as you all can see with his year at USC, and I think he has the same skill set minus the size to fufill the triangle the way that KOBE does.

Don’t be surprised if you find yourself remembering this discussion in a couple of years bruh.
