torontoraptors10ParticipantBrandon Jennings revealed that he will consider leaving Milwaukee for a bigger market when his rookie contract ends.
"I am going to keep my options open, knowing that the time is coming up,” Jennings said in an email interview. "I’m doing my homework on big market teams.”
Jennings will become eligible to sign a long-term extension with the Bucks this summer.
"I’m not saying I won’t (sign an extension with the Bucks) and I’m not saying I will,” he said. "I’m just keeping my options open.”
Jennings played one season in Italy instead of going to Arizona for his freshman season.
"It has nothing to do with the city of Milwaukee or anything like that because that’s where I started my career,” Jennings said. "They’ve been nothing but good to me. (Coach) Scott Skiles and (general manager) John Hammond have been good to me. It’s just that I’m understanding the business of basketball now.”

I don’t mean to sound like a Toronto Raptor homer, but Brandon Jennings tweeted how he’d love to be from Toronto.
Recently, Brandon Jennings tweeted this:
"If you could be from another city. What City would it be??? Or State?"
and then…
"I’m from #California so I’m good…. But if I had to pick I would say #Toronto…."He then on went to say that the girls from Toronto are the best.
What do y’all think? Where would he go? LA Lakers? Toronto Raptors?

OhCanada-ParticipantDefinitely Toronto no other team makes any sense…Joking.
Lakers, Knicks, Nets, Bucks, and Ill squeeze Toronto in as an afterthought.
Funny thing is Jennings would be a perfect fit for this team especially when we bring over Valanciunas and hopefully draft Barnes or Kidd-Gilchrist.

CoachWorthyParticipantright after the Decision, he mentioned how much fun it would be to play with K Love and Tyreke Evans.

Maniac MaciejParticipantBrandon Jennings will be lucky if a bigger market team considers him…especially with his FG% sliding closer and closer to the 40% level every day.
But, in all honesty, he (and Tyreke) seem like exactly the type of player that the Knicks or Nets (when D-Will leaves) will throw a bunch of money at in some sort of desperate hope that he is the missing piece, followed by a string of 35-39 win seasons.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantBrandon Jennings hates the Knicks but playing with Melo, Stoudemire, and Chandler could change his mind.
In his words, "F*ck the Knicks, they skipped out on me"
I could imagine him playing for a team like the Lakers after Kobe is gone. That’s when they’ll have room to sign him. He’s from Southern Cali and he’ll have a chance to play with Bynum. Another option is probably the Nets, if D-Will leaves of course. Hey, you can’t count out Toronto. I’m sure the fans there would love him. He and DeRozan could be an exciting duo to watch and T-Dot can finally get quality basketball along with W’s.
Him in a backcourt with Tyreke Evans and DMC as their big could be scary as well.
This kid wants to win and Milwaukee is not getting it done. Bogut continues to get injured, they still don’t have a starting power forward or small forward. His 2nd option is Stephen Jackson, shooting 37% and dropping 12 ppg. I really hope he stays in Milwaukee for another 3-4 years though and gives them a try.

PHILA9ParticipantI remember reading BJ’s tweet about him loving Toronto. I would not mind him in a Toronto uniform if he becames more of a facilitator than a scorer. After the 2012 draf, Raptors could look like:
Jennings. Lamb. DeRozan. Bargnani. Jonas
or
Jennings. DeRozan.Barnes/Gilchrist. Bargnani. Jonas
Not bad at all..

Scottoant93ParticipantYeah he stated number of times that he loved toronto, not only that but he is also not the type that is afraid to go out of the county to play(talking about toronto not playing internationaly) like other nba players. So raptors have a really high chance of getting him.

RUDEBOY_Participant1 of my friends said he bet the Knicks are Sorry they passed on Jennings a few years ago,but if they had him, they still will need a point guard…..lmao

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantDO YOU GUYS KNOW THAT BRANDON AND DEMAR ARE BESTFRIENDS???? hhahah they are
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/10/2012 - 7:30am #634540

Taylor Gang MikeParticipanthahah but him and demar are both from compton and they been bestfriends since they were little. I could see him with the Lakers or Toronto.. but it is not a good look for the city of Milwaukee for him to be talking like that
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/10/2012 - 7:59am #634552

RUDEBOY_ParticipantIsnt it Strange that Jennings never mentioned leaving Milwaukee until Stephen Jackson got there? Maybe Captain Jack opened his eyes to something?
lmao

CodySLCParticipantI’m so sick of this!!! The league needs to do something. Everytime a player gets big in a small market they wanna play somewhere else. David Stern needs to make it a little more NFL like.

HitsterParticipantI wonder if there could be a trade done with Toronto maybe Jennings for Valanciunas or even Bargnani or maybe the Toronto pick this year if it was top 5.
I was going to suggest Jennings for DeRozan but as they are apparently friends then I’d guess they would want to try and play together.

check this video out. they bestfriends, i know they wanna play with each other

baggin13ParticipantIf he joined the Kings that would be sick, him with Evans and Cousins could be a fun and good team. Evans wouldn’t have to play the point anymore, Jennings just has to be the great passer that he can be, and hook up Evans and Cousins. His scoring isn’t a big issue, we know that guy can score, its the distribution.

Bmore_DCParticipantwhy would anyone leave the bucks for the raptors??? haha
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/10/2012 - 9:11am #634590

NJHooper95ParticipantThe NBA may have to seriously considered reducing the number of teams. If they claim teams are losing money because of a lack of fan base then cut it. I understand that Free Agency, means a person is free to go where they please, but now an epidemic has started. If quality or star players continue to see refuge in bigger markets, then how are smaller markets ever suppose to complete, draw fans, or even survive?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/10/2012 - 10:08am #634616

Tongue-Out-Like-23Participant^
Yes NJHooper, it is very simple to get rid of teams that are worth over $400million and make then disappear into thin air without anybody having to pay the owner.Smh..

Ghost01ParticipantJennings is a good young PG, he has made a leap this year, and he will be a very attractive free agent when he gets there. Will someone overpay for him? Probably. But I wouldn’t discount him at his peak as being good enough to be the 2nd guy on a championship team.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/10/2012 - 11:07am #634652

Moon RiverParticipantTime to start looking for trade partners. Jennings is not staying in Brew City.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/10/2012 - 11:14am #634657

Maniac MaciejParticipant"Jennings is a good young PG, he has made a leap this year."
Nah, he still sucks. There was no leap. He’s a scoring PG that can’t finish at the rim and never gets to the free throw line. Watch his shooting % go down and his TO’s go up as the year goes on.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/10/2012 - 11:29am #634667

rileymcshea3ParticipantKidd-Girlgrist would be the perfect fit for the Raptors if they can get Brandon Jennings
Pg-Jennings runnin the show
Sg-Damar Derozen high flying wingman
Sf-Kidd-Gilchrist Defensive stopper
Pf-Bargani 20ppg scorer and can space the floor
C-Jonas Valanciunas Great young center
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/10/2012 - 11:46am #634674

Ghost01ParticipantHe doesn’t suck at all. Sucks is Devin Harris, sucks isn’t Brandon Jennings. How can you say he hasn’t improve when hes shooting 43% from the field, and for his career had been at 37% coming in? You, on the other hand, suck.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/10/2012 - 11:50am #634676

Tongue-Out-Like-23Participant"You, on the other hand, suck."
LMFAO
I actually laughed out loud.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/10/2012 - 11:56am #634687

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantBrandon Jennings is a fine pt guard… major market teams will be lining up to see if he wants to come play for them for a mid-level exception.
I get what Jennings is saying… it’s just bad business for the kid. He’s getting the wrong kind of attention for something he could’ve just thought to himself and not said aloud to get twisted by the media.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/10/2012 - 12:00pm #634691

Maniac MaciejParticipantDevin Harris does also suck. If BJ’s still shooting over 40% at the end of the year, I’ll give him the credit he deserves.
