BRANDON JENNINGS IS PURE CANCER !!!

He missed the first two games and came off the bench for the third game. In that time the pistons went 2-1 with the one loss an overtime loss @ Memphis.

For the other games he has started the pistons have lost all four games.

    Jennings is shooting 34/87 @ 39%fg and 7/26 @ 27% for 3pts.

His on court +/- For their win against the celtics by 10 pts Jennings was -4.

For his other games he was -6, +4, -6 and todays game was -31

"Hey Brandon, how do most Pistons fans feel about you ?"

What did you expect, a good NBA player?

As a side note, I know it’s early but I found DET’s simple rating list interesting.  Look at the bottom.

After he wanted a max contract with the Bucks and only get half that salary with the Pistons, I thought he might have eaten a piece slice of humble pie.

I honestly thought Billups and Cheeks would be a good influence on him and he could turn it around and be more of a team player. Siggy, with your link, I am not so sure about the Simple rating but on the on court / off court he is -6pts per game (third worse on team) and that is before today’s game +/- of -31.

Jennings is and always will be an irrational confidence player.  He has so many bad habits built into his game and there are some things that he just cannot change.  Like, he has a thin build and doesn’t like contact so he is and won’t be a good finisher.  Being a good finisher balances out streaky jump shooting. I guess if he was in a situation where he didn’t have to be the primary ball-handler and threat from the outside, you’d see less bad shots from the outside, but that isn’t the case in DET.  He’s still in a situation where his shooting is "needed."

The link was kinda a sidenote as I was looking up Jennings’ impact on the team. I noticed that the the worst +/- players on the team so far have been Josh Smith and in particular, Drummond.  They’ve both been killing the Pistons when they’re on the floor and they’re are supposed to be franchise cornerstones.

If Jennings is a cancer then what is Smith?

I thought Jennings was like prostate cancer. As he is young and just like prostate cancer is curable so he could turn it around.

I think Josh Smith is like a 60yo pack a day smoker with lung cancer – its incurable and just a matter of time when he pulls you down. He can block some shots but as he is getting older and less athletic he will be one the decline (just like the mention 60yo pack a day smoker)

**please note** before i get called insensitive my father has prostate cancer and my best friend had throat cancer. Cancer is not a laughing joke and neither is chucking up 20 shots a game either….

Its only a matter of time before Jennings is benched. Actually just reading this report Josh Smith beat him to it

          ———-

Josh Smith hit 1-of-6 shots and missed a couple of awkward 3-pointers before being benched by Mo Cheeks after just two points, two rebounds and a steal in 16 minutes of Tuesday’s ugly loss to the Warriors. Smoove is not injured as far as we know, but has been chucking ill-advised 3-pointers at will all season. It’s possible that Cheeks was sending him a message to take better shots going forward, but how Smith will handle tonight’s benching is anyone’s guess. He’s having a decent season, but his shot selection is going to be a problem if Cheeks doesn’t reel him in soon, and it looks like the first shot was fired by his coach tonight. Look for him to bounce back on Friday against the Kings. Smoove has hit 11-of-40 3-point attempts in his seven games and is shooting 29 percent from beyond the arc. And we’re guessing the Hawks are glad he’s no longer launching bad shots in the ATL.

Lol cant wait until Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings both start showing their true colors! All hell gonna break loose in that locker room! Both are cancers big time and whoever thought that putting them on the same team together was a good thing needs to be fired!

I guess this is the time where people start pointing the fingers huh? smh

Personally, I think jennings has been doing a solid job as pg. In addition, I wouldn’t blame him for the pistons recent losing woes. If anything the reason why the pistons are losing is because they cannot guard the three point (i.e. GS, Blazers, and Grizzlies game) and that they cannot play with energy for 48 min. as a result.

I will say this about Brandon Jennings, he needs to stop trying to "play catch up" at the end of games…meaning he  always comes alive the closing minutes of the game when it too late. He needs to learn to set the tone early in the game.

Also, I don’t have a problem with Josh Smith jacking up threes, AS LONG as they’re in the rhythm of the offense…which he has not been doing as of late, which also hurts them in games, and disrupts the offense.

The final reason they are losing is because they are not getting enough out of the sg position. Billups hasn’t provided any sort of spark to the lineup. It seems as though Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is in Mo Cheeks doghouse. He should get more playing time because although his shot is overrated he still provides an abundance of energy everyime when he plays(even if its in limited minutes..)If not KCP then Singler should get a shot in the starting lineup.

Overall the pistons should be ok they just needs to find shooting from the perimeter to complement Monroe’s dominance in the low post. Also they need to learn to guard the perimter better too as well. Other than that besides the little things like josh smith’s erratic perimeter shooting and Jennings too little-too-late game resurrgence ..those things can corrected… but the perimter shooting, and defense  may needs some changing early on. Few guys that come to mind that could help would be Ariza, Batum, Green, Turner,Gay…some will be available, some won’t..

Right hand says ‘Just’, left looks like…’rynd’? Maybe he has a ‘G’ on the L thumb to spell ‘Just Grynd’? If that’s the case…yikes.
