    Monty Williams is 6’8 wow I thought he much shorter, I don’t watch a lot of hornets games, and when I do They usually just show half his body.

    Can anybody show me a picture of the two standing side by side? I’d like to see for myself if Phil Jackson really is taller than Monty Williams

    I saw Phil in the huddle and I was thinking, while watching game one, that he is probably just a little over 6’6” now that he’s in his 70’s.  Kobe Bryant is something like 6’7” in shoes and Phil looked about the same height or just a little shorter.  I don’t think either one is 6’8”

    Man, Joe, I disagree. I know that you shrink with age, but I always feel that Phil is definitely taller than Kobe when they stand next to each other. I know Monty is listed at 6’8, but he was always more of a wing to me when he played, whereas Phil was a big. I would have to see them stand next to each other, but I think Phil’s height is legit whereas Monty might be squeezing an inch or so. Either way, they both took role playing NBA careers to turn into solid coaches, though Monty has a long way to go to even be in the same league as the Zen Master.

    Yeah I definitely think Phil Jackson is a good bit taller than Kobe when they’re side by side. Maybe because his back problems, he’s bent over and he looks closer to Kobe’s height. That’s the only explanation to me, but other than that Phil Jackson looks a legit 6’9.

    Just asking but what is the point of this thread lol? What does it matter if the coaches listed hieght is wrong, or why does his hieght even matter.
