LeFlopJAMESParticipantBulls will try to bring in Kevin before he signs with LeBron’s team.
Celtics HAD TO MAKE AN OFFER for Love;
Yes, they don’t have ‘Decision 2.0’ in Boston, but a core of
RRondo – ABradley – JGreen – KLove – ( one more piece under the basket)
isn’t so bad IMO

LeFlopJAMESParticipantI’ll give Marcus Smart and Sullinger + First(s) pick in the package for KevinLove

phila9012ParticipantYou could name 10 to 15 teams who would have a better core with Kevin love than the celtics would. The timberwolves current core is about as good as those players on the celtics. If they didnt keep getting destroyed by injuries or played in the east he would be fine there. The bucks core of marshall, knight, antetokounmpo, Love and Larry saunders is close to as good as that celtics core. Assuming they would give up Parker and first round picks for him.

Meditated StatesParticipantFirst round picks and good players. He is a numbers guy. Really not that crazy about braking the farm system for a rebounder,3 point shooter. He gets worked on d by atheletes.

Ghost01ParticipantThe Cavs offer, with Wiggins, is easily the best.
The Bulls offer, what was reported yesterday, is easily better than anything the Celtics can offer.
The biggest issue with the Celtics assets are they are completely based around future draft picks, most of which are from Brooklyn. Brooklyn has an owner that will constantly overpay for mediocrity in a bad conference. The odds of those picks actually being top 5-10 picks are low.

BiggysmallsParticipantBoston with Love would be a middle of the pack team in the East. Rondo is one of the most overrated players in the NBA.
I do think Boston could put together a decent offer, but it wouldn’t include any players. Sullinger and Olynyk do nothing for me, Smart would be included but even he isn’t all that enticing. I do think those Brooklyn picks will be valuable because I see that team falling off by 2016 and they cant keep paying as much as they are for an average team.

HitsterParticipantAny offer putting up Wiggins is potentially he best, the Bulls can offer nice pieces more proven guys but nothing of possible Superstar potential like Wiggins.
I’m surprised that the Celtics have been quiet in the off season, when they drafted Smart, I thought that really put Rondo on the market especially with them resigning Bradley. I had wondered if Houston may have gone in for Rondo to give Harden and D12 that legit superstar running mate.
If the Celtics did go in for K-Love then Rondo would surely remain as that would give K-Love his legit star running mate. The T-Wolves have Rubio at PG so may not have been keen on Smart unless they tried to move Martin as well as K-Love and Smart went back as a combo guard. The Celtics own all their picks as far as I know plus have another couple due from Brooklyn and one from the Cavs I believe. So Danny Ainge could send something like 4 first rounders to the T-Wolves and still leave Boston with drafting options going forward.
I agree that it is strange that Boston have not made a move for him if they are thinking about a rebuild other than by the draft.
