jaysmith1987ParticipantIm gooing with marshon brooks as rookie of the year dwill setting him up with brook lopez in the post it wont be to much pressure on him some compared him to kobe probably far fetched like terrance williams lebron comparison but rookie of the year is as much team fit as it is how good a player is i think brooks fits nj perfect and will be able to get a ton of open looks and i think hell be an efficent scorer plus hes got a chip on his shoulder for sliding lower than expected.

Johnny ChillI’m going with Kyrie Irving, because he will get a lot of playing time from day 1.
I think his rookie #’s look like 17 points, 6 assist, 4 rebounds, 1 steal per game.
Probably the lead the rookies in assist, 2nd in scoring, and top 3 in minutes played.

MagikKnickParticipantI’d go with Kemba too, as crappy as that roster is, hes going to have the golden pass to do as he pleases..he should flourish at the point, too bad Maggette is his best wingman…

JoeWolf1Yeah, I gotta say Kemba at this point too. Maggette will probably be their leading scorer :S and I think Kemba will be good for 15 or 16 with 3 rebs and 3 or 4 assists.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI’m going Kemba, dude has the keys to the offense, and although they won’t win many games, ROY doesn’t include wins.
-Don’t think Kyrie will win it since he’s splitting minutes with Baron Davis and it’s tough to get assists when nobody on your team can score.
-Derrick Williams has to share the shine with Rubio, Love, and Beasley.
-Enes Kanter won’t play much behind Jefferson, Millsap, Okur, and Favors
Don’t think anybody else is really NBA ready enough to make a huge impact, besides Brandon Knight, Ricky Rubio* and Jimmer Fredette.
* denotes to a shaky decision

Malik-UniversalParticipanti think knight can be the starting one by the time the season starts with they move rip and let prince leave allowing stuckey to be the 2 or gordon and bynum as the back up
thats what i would do

providencefriars1ParticipantMarshon has a better chance than a lot of the guys drafted before him and could win a starting job, but Irving, Knight, Kanter, and Williams all have more talent and will get similar minutes so they are more likely.

MagikKnickParticipantBrooks is a sleeper, he can score, and with Deron dishing him the ball it should be rather easy for him, and with his length, hes good for a couple of rebounds a night
But it still comes down to opportunity, is Avery Johnson gonna play him major minutes over Morrow, Vujacic, and even Farmar at the 2?

Ahkasi ClayParticipantRicky Rubio will run away with this,
he is on a young team that has to get better, and could improve by 20 games. and he is going to get alot of that credit!

Hoops MaestroParticipantWhy do Pac 10 scorers always get overlooked? Klay Thompson is the real deal, and should get plenty of playing time in Golden State.

montynwcParticipantBoth Billy King and Avery have said MarShon will compete for starting job. They see Morrow, Vujacic, Farmer as bench guys — Morrow being the 6th man/sharpshooter.
MarShon has as good a chance as anyone to win ROY if he gets the minutes, which I think he will.

R-Dot-13ParticipantI think that Derrick Williams, Jimmer Fredette and don’t overlook Klay Thompson. The guy is a great shooter who can score and will be in a great situation for him to do so in GS

TallmanNYCParticipantI think it will be Irving, Rubio or Fredette (Fredette being a deep sleeper, but if he is scoring 12 a game with a 30s in there when the deep three is falling, then Jimmer Mania will keep on trucking). Brooks will probably piss of the coaches and teammates from time to time which will loose him playing time. Also, I like the analysis above that Wolves could be 20 wins improved and if Rubio is starting and playing 30 minutes a game, he will get most of the credit unless D Williams has also pushed his way into starting spot and playing 30 minutes a game. Even if Williams is a stud, PGs always get more credit than other players for wins.
But really I think it will be Irving because he seemed completely ready when he started the season for Duke and he could be the same in the NBA. Oh and he will definitely average more than 1 steal a game. Pencil in 2 for now and let’s see how it goes.

JJeff6ParticipantMr. Williams will get it is my guess. Youg got a lineup of him at the 3 with Beasley at the 4 and I think Kevin Love would be a great rebounding center (not sure if he could do the deed defensively) He will average around 18 points and around 7ish rebounds is my guess. maybe not even seven cuz big Love likes to steal those haha
