Who would have predicted that Boban would lead the Spurs in field goal shooting, and also have several games of 17 points in only small minutes?  Dallas would be starting Mejeri, a big surprise too.  He also had 17 points in a recent game.

It is good that teams are finding obscure players, who can play, and maybe the Texas teams are better at international scouting than many others.

Not a surprise really for those watching the Euro hoops…everybody knows about Šarić and Bender almost surely coming to the NBA next season, but watch out for Jan Vesely – he’s back and improved a lot, playing for the strongest side in Europe this season, Fenerbahce Ulker from Turkey…a lock to get back in the NBA next year, according to some writers.

Vesely has nopt improved one bit. He’s the same exact player he was 2 years ago. Of course he can play in NBA. He always could. NBA teams did not use him properly.

But he’s a center, and you have to accept that he can’t score from outside 3 feet and can’t hit a free throw. And you can’t try to make him play any position other than C. Because he’s incapable of playing any other position.

There is no improvement at all in his game. If an NBA team used him the same way they did before, he would suck. Just as he would suck in Euroleague if any team tried to use him there the way NBA teams used him.

Also, Fener is not the strongest team in Europe.

Not at all. I admit I was iffy on Boban. He doesn’t have the glaring weaknesses (at least not to the degree of nearly all 7’2″ and taller players usually have) he just needed a system that would play to his strengths.

Believe it or not I saw potential in Salah years ago.

He is pretty athletic and has nice lateral quickness for a big man.

Calling players that came from Euroleague clubs like Red Star Belgrade and Real Madrid "obscure" is truly ridiculous.

The ignorance on this forum from some is astonishing.
