 I was thinking today about how upsets of higher seeds by 13, 14, and even 15 seeds are becoming more common place in the NCAA tournament.  Many times the best thing a coach can do whether it’s at Norfolk State, Bucknell, Mercer, American, Howard, Davidson or Florida Gulf Coast is  motivating your players and making them think they have a chance to pull of the massive upset that will be talked about on Sports Center. I would love to be in the locker room to hear some of the speeches these coaches use to get their team pumped up. You’re the coach of a Mercer or another team from a mid-major conference or lower level conference.  You’re about to take the court against a blue blood program, Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, UNC a team loaded with future NBA players and Mcdonald’s all-americans.  The last thing you tell your team before they take the court is…………..
