jaysmith1987ParticipantI think 2006 Florida wins the battle vs. every other team. They have to legit nba bigman and an nba small forward with a pg who had a stint in the nba no one could match this team physically.

T-Wolvesfan13ParticipantSorry but the 2001 Duke team was the best. Most well rounded. And they refused to lose the big game! Remember the game vs Maryland? No one beat that team when it matterd!

MkadozaParticipant04 UConn. They had Okafor, an unstoppable low post defender, Gordon, a consumate college guard, and T Brown, D Brown, Boone, Villanueva, Marcus Williams, Armstrong, and Anderson. Thats as loaded a college team as I’ve seen.

And Michigan State won it all in 2000, not Michigan. I just got a new least favorite poster, lol

Im Your FatherParticipantCall me biased, but I’ll take Duke 2001 over UNC 2009 every time.
Jason Williams vs Lawson
Chris Duhon vs Ellington
Mike Dunleavy vs Danny Green
Shane Battier vs Deon Thompson
Carlos Boozer vs Tyler Hansborough
I think Duke wins at the 1, 3 and 4. Hansborough was better than Boozer, but not by a landslide. Duke also had Nate James coming off the bench. For some reason I can’t remember who the 6th man was for UNC. I actually thought it was Danny Green, but if it was, then who started at the 3?

Mr. 19134Participant@ Mkadoza——-don’t you feel like a rere this was a leap decade so it actually had eleven years in it…
And the 01 Duke and 07 Florida would be a great matchup. Florida won back to back titles tho so I think they have to be the class of the decade. Although they didn’t win the title I think last years Kentucky team would also match up with any of these teams. Their were some really good college teams that didn’t win a title because college basketball plays a one game elimination tournament and it’s all about whose hot. Imagine if the NBA played one game elimination the Sixers and Allen Iverson would of had a title in 01 after they gave the Lakers their first lost of the playoffs at the Staples center in overtime after Iverson stepped over Lue.

JoeWolf1But still I’d rank the 2008 Kansas team over 2010 Duke, 2002 Maryland, 2000 Michigan State, and I know some people won’t agree with this, but the 2006 and 2007 Florida teams ( An inferioir 2007 Kansas team went to Florida in 2007 in the non-conference and beat them on their home floor, the only key subtraction from that team was Julian Wright, but replaced with Darrell Arthur who was a much better fit for that team)

HitsterParticipantFlorida 2007, UNC 2005 and Duke 2001 would be my 3 top teams. The Duke 2001 team would not make a bad starting NBA 5 on paper. If you are talking about loaded college teams then Kentucky 2009-10 might have had as good a roster as any mentioned but of course they came up short in March Madness so cannot be considered.

Also, I’ll take Duke 01 and Carolina 05 over the 07 UF team any day.

JoeWolf1I’d love to see that matchup too, but post defense was not that Syracuse team’s strength and you picked them to matchup against Carlos Boozer, Emeka Okafor, Joakim Noah, and Al Horford.
Melo was a phenominal player in college and an absolute game changer, but I think they’d get beat in the post by all 3 of those teams.
