dfk512ParticipantI wouldnt be surprised if the Blazers give either one a look, Randolph should be a pretty cheap contract and he’s looong. Shawne Williams opted in tho ($3.41m?) and they share similar skills. Olshey might give Beasley a chance if he can get him for cheap, Idk how him and LMA would mesh. I’d LOVE to give Mayo an offer. I think it’d be a good fit for both.

rhamnlacsonParticipantthis only means that derrick williams would be a monster in the sf position next season

Meditated StatesParticipantHe would back up Paul Peirce pretty good. I think they are sticking with Jeff Green but Beasley might be more explosive.

surveParticipantI thought Phoenix may be one of the few teams that could use Beasley. See, its tough for him now because the best thing he has to offer is scoring and nobody needs him to come in and disrupt what they have going on…and what I mean by that is….if its a team that needs a SF, they dont really need another scorer and if its a team that needs a scorer they dont need another SF.

llperezlakers made a push for him last season and i wouldnt mind seeing them go for him again. Not sure i want him starting over metta, but if they split minutes at the 3 as well as the fact both can play a little 4 depending on the matchup i think there is plenty of use for him in LA. We defenitely need some scoring punch off the bench.

Stinky34ParticipantI heard the Bucks were interested in Beasley at the trade deadline… He could be a good fit to replace Ilyasova if he leaves for more money…

llperez@bmore_dc, the lakers have 2 ways of spending money this summer. FIrst they have their mid level exception for about 5 mill, although im guessing they use that on one of the numerous pg’s out there. The more liekly scenario for signing beasley or anyone else for that matter is they use their 8 mill trade exception from the odom deal last year that they still have. For example, they could agree to terms with beasley so long as the first season of the deal is worth 8 mill or less, then offer minnesota a futre second rounder or something for them to sign beasley to that deal and then trade him to the lakers for a future pick. The wolves arent gonna keep him anyways so im sure theyll take the free pick and the lakers get to use the 8 mill trade exception.
