llperezi looked at the colleges that currently have at least 8 NBA players(i included players from this past draft). There were 11 schools that fit. I chose the top 8 players from each. WHo has the best squad?

llperezflorida will struggle big time due to lack of gaurd play despite their awesome inside play. Just wont be able to get it over half court.
ohio state is relyinh on oden and redd who are always injured plaus they have a weak bench.
so those 2 teams probably have the least shot of winning a tournament amongst these teams imo.

I May Be WrongParticipantcould we put John Wall in the Wildcats? I know Rando is there but I’d honestly like a Wall/Rondo backcourt doing damage defensively than a Rando/Knight backcourt.
I would either pick UK or UConn cuz they have some great players. I would probably lean towards UConn though

MagikKnickParticipantHmm, I’d say UConn has the best squad, Walker, Allen, Gay, Okafor, Gordon, Hamilton, and Villanueva,, that team could would dope to watch, lack of size though
Kentucky too, how’d you put Bledsoe over Wall?
UCLA would be a dominant perimeter defense team…, they’d lack size though

aamir543ParticipantI like UCLA, but too many guards. Uconn is also good, but it’s scary to think of Timmy D with CP3, that would be dangerous. Other than that Wake doesn’t have much, but I would still choose them because I feel that Paul and Duncan would have a monster pick and roll game.

Da1potParticipantIf we are talking about present time than UConn has the best and deepest overall squad I think….
If we put every player in their prime( obviously you can’t do that for the young recently drafted players though), I think that UConn would still be the best but that Duke( would start Grant Hill and 3 other all-stars) and Wake Forest ( Two perennial All NBA first teamers in Duncan and Paul and another all star in Josh Howard) would be much closer.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantYou just gave me an idea..If the Lockout continue into the season..Wouldnt be be great entertainment if they traveled to nba cities and the Alumni teams played each other?
That UCLA team have everything except shot blocking..
Those UK and U Conn teams have the best talent top to bottom..And the most all stars…But chemistry would be their problem…..
I also like that Texas team..People seem to have forgotten how great a college player TJ Ford was…
You made a mistake of putting Brian Cook on Ohio State..He went to Illinois..

aamir543ParticipantIt’s between Texas, UCLA, and UConn. I would take Texas, they have the best player of this group, and Aldridge is an all star, plus a solid guard. UConn has depth, but I would take either UCLA or texas, and it comes down to who can make the plays in crunch time, and while Westbrook has the ability, he needs to improve his decision making. The knock on Durant is that he defers sometimes, and for different reasons than Lebron. But at the end of the day, I would take Texas because of Aldridge and Durant.

llperezarizona, duke, kentucky, ucla, uconn and texas are all very tough.
UCLA would really have to get after it defensively and then get out and run which they can probably do those 2 things as well as any team and they probably see the least drop off from the bench. But kinda small.
Texas has an awesome starting 5, but bench is small.
Kentucky doesnt hve very good shooters.
Duke is legit all round and a veteran team. Defenitely have a shot of winning but might be too slow.
Arizona can score buckets but outside of iguodala not a very good defensive team. Jefferson and hill would have to really come off the bench and focus on defense.
UConns weaknees is they dont have a post up option. When caron butler is your best post player, thats probably not good.

Johnny Flynn
Wes Johnson
Carmelo Anthony
Hakim Warrick
Donte Greene
Andy Rautins
Etan Thomas (not sure if he’s still playing actually)
Jason Hart (have no clue what happened to him lol)
No big center but this team could score with the best of them IMO

Memphis MadnessParticipantMemphis Tigers:
PG: Derrick Rose
SG: Tyreke Evans
SF: Rodney Carney
PF: Shawne Williams
C: Joey DorseyBench: Chris Douglas-Roberts, Elliott Williams
Great backcourt with Rose and Evans, Shawne Williams is a good role player, and Dorsey is a
solid rebounder but the team is not that deep or big. CDR and Elliott Williams are ok off the bench.
Could use a legit center and move Dorsey over to power forward and Shawne Williams to small forward.0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/10/2011 - 11:07am #567701

Pg: Rajon Rondo
Sg: Stephen Jackson
Sf: Carmelo Anthony

C: DeSagana Diop

I think this team might actually win, the only problem could be depth inside.

I think Duke will have 15-16 players and UCLA will have 16-17 guys in a NBA uni.
